Finance Controller - IT (5-20 yrs)
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for monthly close of books activities, both statutory and US GAAP.
- Responsible for all accounting transactions, including A/P, A/R, payroll, tax and cash management.
- Ensure proper treatment of all accounts, understand contract terms and translate them into the appropriate application of local accounting regulations and US GAAP.
- Assess and establish an internal finance/accounting organization structure, while working with the outsourced Accounting provider.
- Develop Operating budgets and Report monthly performance vs. these targets.
- Evaluate investment/capital expenditure opportunities to ensure optimum ROI is achieved.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls; document and develop new procedures. Liaison with external audit to provide data needed for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Review and recommend improvements to processes and systems including Transfer pricing and adherence to the Safe Harbor regulations.
- Supervise the filing of local reporting requirements, including tax reporting.
- Liaise with the Corporate Controller in the US with regard to Intercompany transactions, cash repatriation, etc.
- Manage the workflow to ensure even and accurate distribution of work load to maximize productivity, performance and cash collection with focus on KPIs such as DSOs and DPOs.
Required Qualifications / Skills:
- 5 - 15 years experience in Finance roles, candidates with public accounting experience preferred. Bachelors Degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance is required, CPA (or equivalent) and/or MBA preferred.
- Sound analytical skills including proficiency in local tax/accounting regulations as well as U.S. GAAP.
- Strong computer literacy skills especially with Microsoft Office & Accounting/Finance software.
- Hands on problem solving skills, with a keen sense for process improvements and problem solving.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at all levels
