Finance Controller - FMCG/FMCD - CA (6-10 yrs)
As a key member of the Finance team, the Finance Controller will support and assist the Leadership team to leverage finance as a pillar of growth and provide financial and operational insights. The Controller will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, budgeting, and investor reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Planning and Analysis
- Business partnering with the leaders. Participate and drive short term and long-term business strategies.
- Design and prepare Annual Operating Plans, track the progress and provide insights for course corrections.
- Monthly MIS review along with CEO and bringing insights in terms of performance and independent point of view on performance and projections for rest of the year.
- Partner with business teams and assist in growth optimization and cost control activities.
- Scenario analysis of performance basis different business environment
- Cost, capital and commercial focus in the Business performance review
Accounting - Financial & MIS
- Responsible for Financial and Management. Accounting of the company in compliance with accounting standards, policies, processes and control guidelines.
- Timely closure of Fiscal year audit (Tax & Statutory audit).
- Monthly MIS preparation and reporting of financial and operational metrics. -
- Ensure full compliance with applicable statutes, discharge of statutory liabilities, and filing of returns under respective laws within due dates.
- Cash flow management - providing timely and cost-efficient liquidity for the business.
- Track and monitor monthly cash burn and drive initiatives to reduce the cash burn. -
- Periodic review and monitoring of accounts receivables, accelerate collections and mitigate the accumulation of accounts receivable balances.
Internal Control Design
- Ability to design and operate a robust internal controls system.
Financial management
- Manage cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy.
Stakeholder Management
- Manage regular interactions with multiple stakeholders internally including working with senior management.
- Communicating with external stakeholders such as Banks, Auditors and professional advisors,
Tax & regulatory authorities.
What are we looking for?
- An Ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with 6+ years of post-qualification experience, preferable with a high growth company
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
- Should have excellent, communication and leadership skills.
- Highly data-driven, analytical in problem-solving, and with a mindset of system design.
