Client Details :
Our client is a European engineering consultancy and operates majorly within the oil and gas, industrial projects and infrastructure business. They are one of the largest players in the industry and with a huge focus on the Indian business, they are looking to hire the finance controller for India.
Description :
Reporting directly to the South Asia Head of Finance, you will be responsible for :
- Reviewing existing processes in Finance, providing recommendations on implementing process improvements and maintaining strong controls environment framework
- Managing stakeholders across India and Middle East, providing strong operational support and seeking regular feedback on the performance
- Ensuring that all processes are documented and employees in the team have been trained to support work for other colleagues during absences.
- Building a strong talent pipeline with focus on team development and growth
- Ensuring financial reporting, credit management, taxation, treasury (including banking, mandates, bonds), and internal controls in the territory
- Ensuring prompt processing of AP and AR invoicing; including maintenance of a billing diary, investigation, and clearance of any invoicing queries.
- Ensuring preparation of timely and accurate payroll.
- Review existing processes in payroll and provide recommendations for improvement and control Assist Manager Accounts with production of statutory accounts, branch / other tax returns.
- Coordination of any tax, statutory, and internal audits / assessments.
- Organising monthly review call with country finance leads and other stakeholders to seek feedback on the performance of business
- Proactively identifying new processes and its seamless migration
- Managing and guiding a team of 25-30 people
Profile :
- You are a Chartered Accountant and have with 7 - 10 years of overall experience and 4-5 years in finance controllership.
- You have a clear understanding of financial accounting and compliances and a solid theoretical knowledge of key financial concepts.
- You have the maturity to influence key stakeholders and work under pressure while ensuring quality output.
