Finance Controller - Clinical Research Firm - CA (6-10 yrs)
Education/Qualification - ACA
Candidates having experience in Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) alone need to apply.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Review of clinical trial related contracts including participating in negotiation.
- Preparation of clinical trial budget and tracking against it.
- Prepare monthly MIS related to clinical trial and spends.
- Perform the analysis and forecast of clinical study spending.
- Review and strengthen the process for better internal controls and efficiency.
- Review & approve clinical site bills & investigator invoices according to contract terms and accounting of same.
- Ensure clinical trial payment process for all clinical research organization billings.
- Works closely with the clinical team to provide analyses that will drive specific business objectives and strategies.
- Attend and participates in study related meeting.
- Participate in the review, implementation and maintenance of clinical trial management tool.
- Supports monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting.
- Create / maintain tracker of payments due to sites vs. payment made for all trail sites.
- Ensure that services performed by clinical trial vendors are reported in the period incurred.
- Projects for productivity improvement and cost savings.
- Work with clinical team / finance to prepare annual budget for clinical projects.
- Prepare supporting documentation for SOX compliance, as needed.
- Prepare audit deliverables and interact with internal and external auditors / stakeholders.
- Stays current on technical accounting guidance.
- Plays an integral role in ensuring that day-to-day internal controls for areas of responsibility are operating as designed. Assist in the design, development and maintenance of formalized control procedures surrounding areas of responsibility.
