Finance Controller - CA - Carbonated Soft Drinks

Our client is a leading bottler having operations across East & West Africa

Job Description:

- Support the development of timely, accurate and cost-effective statutory reporting in accordance with local and Beirut requirements. Provide financial stewardship of company assets and activities by ensuring an accurate assessment of financial condition and by leading implementation of an efficient system of internal controls, financial processes, and procedures that are responsive to the needs of customers, suppliers, and internal partners. Ensure compliance with relevant statutory bodies and laws.

Financial Control and Asset Stewardship

- Execute and sustain the necessary processes for effective financial control and stewardship

- Ensure timely implementation of internal and external audit recommendations

- Ensure creditor accounts are properly maintained and reconciled on regular basis.

- Ensure timely sales and cash reconciliations and reporting as per company policies

Financial Reporting and Transaction Processing

- Support implementation of Best Practice Tools which improve the accuracy, timeliness and cost effectiveness of financial transaction processing and reporting

- Ensure financial accounting reports accurately reflect the financial condition of the business

- Liaise with external auditors and provide all necessary information for accurate rendering of Company accounts.

Compliance

- Support compliance with all local and corporate statutory laws, rules, and regulations

- Identify and pursue implementation of tax savings initiatives

- Liaise with the Audit Committee, Nigerian Stock Exchange, Securities and Exchange Commission, Financial Reporting Council and other regulatory authorities.

- Coordinate the publication and distribution of Annual Report and the Annual General Meeting.

Education: Chartered Accountant

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Finance Process & Procedures manual

- Navision Process manual

- Company and Allied Matters Decree, Financial Reporting Council Pronouncements

- Nigerian Stock Exchange/SEC requirements

- Company budget

- Targets agreed with CFO.
