Finance Controller

Responsible for providing support for the company's financial and commercial requirements and maintaining budgetary and internal controls. Also responsible for tracking business performance, ensuring compliance and working capital management.

Accountable & Responsible for:

1. Responsible for Finance & Accounts Vertical

2. Implement effective GL review mechanism including substantiation & reconciliations, its approval and audit; drive meetings within organization for resolution of accounting issues, if any

3. Review of work at an analytical level for proactive & preventive error detection

4. Perform analytical reviews of financial data and Trial Balance analysis prior to month-end financial statement validation

5. Ensure monthly closure of books and preparation of monthly Balance sheet & P&L accounts - for all products

6. Liaison with the bankers for day-to-day affairs and negotiating terms as and when required

7. Timely execution of audits with filing of Income Tax Returns

8. Monitor the expenses and explore various opportunities of cost control

9. Analyses cost optimization opportunities

10. Analyze Gross Margins, SG&A, Working capital,

11. Be able to create internal controls and setup necessary checks to control the margins, working capital & accounting Hygiene

12. Business Acumen

13. Be able to identify areas for digital transformation

14. Coordination with legal consultants for timely execution of all agreements and contracts

15. Performance Development & Management of the team

Experience And Skills:

- Min. 8 years' experience in Finance

- Chartered Accountant with experience with Audits & Finance Controllership

- Managed a team size of 6+

- Strong base knowledge of accounting, finance, and operational principles

- Ability to grow, motivate and lead a team

- Familiar with complex organizations (multicultural, wide geographical scope)

- Strong analytical reasoning

Soft Skills:

- Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative, anticipation and sense of urgency

- Able to manage various and shifting priorities, able to adapt quickly in an environment with tight deadlines and high-quality standards

- Team player with proven ability to work with all levels of management and develop relationships

- Pragmatic with strong problem-solving skills

- Ability to engage constructively with different stakeholders (finance and non-finance)

- Capability to summarize (synthetic mindset)
