Finance Controller - Automotive - CA/IIM/ISB/MDI/FMS (5-15 yrs)

Responsibilities include but not limited to :
Financial Reporting :
- Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts
- Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and regulatory reporting
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Manage and comply with local, state, and government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Stakeholder Management :
- Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and external accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities.
Monitoring & Evaluation :
- Monitor financial activities and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels, to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
- Receive, record, and authorize requests for disbursements in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure quality control over all financial transactions and financial reporting.
Domain Knowledge :
- Finance and Accounting - Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- Excellent knowledge of corporate financial law, tax laws, and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting and finance software like tally, Zoho books, etc. and MS office
Success Criterion : To be defined by org.
Example :
1. Build a strong financial reporting system to reduce closure time for accounts by 40% and move 100% expense claims digitally over 12 months
2. Improve cash management planning and install crisis management plan for cash flow
Qualifications and Experience :
Qualifications :
- MBA from top tier institutions/CA/CPA/CMA would be preferred
Experience :
- At least 5 years of full time experience in finance/accounting roles
- Hands-on experience with financial planning and risk management
- Experience with high-growth companies would be desirable
Skills & Abilities :
- Critical Thinking : Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Judgment and Decision Making : Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
- Management of Financial Resources : Determining how the money will be spent to get the work done, and accounting for these expenditures.
