Finance Controller - Asian Region - CA

Role: Finance Controller- Asia

Overview :

- Lead financial management across Asia (India, Bangladesh, Singapore) for a multi-geographical commodity business.

- Act as Finance Business Partner supporting strategic and operational decisions.

- Oversee financial planning, reporting, treasury, internal controls, and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Budgeting:

- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.

- Analyze variances and implement corrective actions.

- Provide financial insights to support growth.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

- Oversee financial statement preparation (monthly, quarterly, annual).

- Provide analysis to guide commercial and operational decisions.

- Ensure accurate regional consolidation and compliance.

Treasury Management:

- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity.

- Oversee banking relationships and financing terms.

- Mitigate currency risks and ensure treasury policy compliance.

Financial Operations & Internal Controls:

- Implement strong financial controls aligned with corporate and regulatory standards.

- Lead financial audits and compliance assessments.

- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.

Team Leadership & Development:

- Lead, engage, and mentor the regional finance team.

- Promote high-performance culture and succession planning.

- Collaborate with HR for team structure and upskilling.

Looking for a resource with following criteria:

- Chartered Accountant with 12+ years of experience in finance leadership roles across international/APAC regions, preferably in manufacturing.

- Proven experience in treasury management for India and broader Asia; knowledge of taxation and audits is a plus.

- Proficient in SAP/Hyperion and skilled in Excel for financial analysis, data interpretation, and insight generation.

- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills to support decision-making in a global, dynamic environment.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performance teams in lean organizational setups.
