Finance Business Partner - FMCG (10-15 yrs)

Position - Finance Business Partner

Company - Leading MNC

Location - Mumbai

Key Responsibilities :

- Ensure strict adherence to Policies & Procedures while taking business decisions to ensure sustainable operation

- To Administer implementation of Internal Guidelines and Compliance with external statutes in dealing with customers and vendors.

- Actively support in training of commercial organization on Policies & Procedures

- Facilitate an orderly resolution of conflict while honoring local escalation paths

- Strong interaction and cooperation with local Head of Accounting (e.g. process, performance steering), Head of Taxation, Head Customer Finance

- Actively drive cooperation and alignment across the Commercial Unit for operations involving multiple payments)

- Provide advice and decision support to Commercial Unit Lead through financial steering and planning, performance tracking, business analysis and performance

Responsible to drive :

- KPIs, P&L, capital expenditures, working capital etc.

- Growth, profitability, resource management.

- Costs, resource allocation & efficiencies.

- Adherence to RR policy guidelines through active engagement with business in assessing market dynamics and implement measures to check and control stock returns

- Local business projects and local performance improvement projects.

- Hold responsibility for Commercial Unit budget.

- Ensure timely and accurate provisioning and monitoring of utilization there of to support monthly/quarterly/annual closings

- Provide CU specific annotations/spot (Actuals Analysis)

- Take active part in relevant Commercial Unit meetings / committees

- Participate proactively in Conceptualization, Review and Implementation of Commercial Strategies & sales and marketing Programs on topics such as G2N, Customer Segmentation & Channel engagement

- Support the Commercial Unit in defining trade incentive schemes & Loyalty programs in line with Policy and ensuring their strict implementation.

- Participate in formulation of CD schemes to efficiently manage cash flows/ overdue while optimizing cost

- Drive timely settlement of Schemes to reduce Accounts Receivables and release credit limits for further offtake by customers

- Challenge business on exception management to ensure compliance with policies from a 4-eye principle.


- Further support business in seeking necessary approvals wherever justifiable.

- Working Capital - Lead / coordinate Balance Sheet /Cash Flow forecasting (Accounts Receivables).

- Drive Working capital efficiency and risk mitigation initiatives / projects - like Financial Solution, Cash Advance Strategy, implementation of Segmentation policy,

- Build efficiency through proactive review of Receivables, DSO and Overdue Trend and initiate risk mitigation strategy and action in consultation with O2C team

- Regularly meet key transactional and non-transactional customers to understand latest market trends and initiate changes required in policy, strategy to align action with market forces and support development / growth of business sustainably

- Support O2C team in driving recovery of long overdue along with business colleagues, including initiation of legal action.

- Design strategy, along with CU management, on extension of credit limit and credit period to customers, with objective to maximize usage of the facility for growth of business and improve cash flow

- Committee, Third Party Due Diligence of agents, coordination with Legal dept. for agreements, etc.


- Further participate with business on establishing & implementing processes for commercialization of Key Accounts.

- Ensure adequate provisioning of cost on an ongoing basis for Goods and Services received.

- Validation of Field Officers' Incentives as calculated by the Marketing Analyst/ CCM.

- Support implementation of any new tool / technology & change management.

- Liase with internal and external Auditors and be responsible for implementation of Risk Mitigation action for CU emanating from Risk Assessment Control. Further coordinating & responding to queries from Internal and External Auditors on behalf of the Commercial Unit.

- Verification of product liability claims & settlement of claims as per the policy

- Identify areas / opportunity for cost savings measures for business operations

- Ensure business health through proper communication / flow of information to the Country Head for decision making / financial measures

- Ensure compliance and roll out of process related tax, reporting , accounting as per Indian / Global Accounting Standards

- Budgeting process with co-ordination with Business, Country Head, FBP CS and ensure smooth reporting to Head Quarters from system / reporting

WHO YOU ARE :

- Degree with post graduate qualification - C.A., ICWA, MBA Minimum 10 years' experience
