This role provides the opportunity to combine a deep understanding of our technology and business with collaborative relationships involving customers, sales, professional services and product management to architect, design and develop feature rich products that deliver high customer value. Hiring Manager  Position Summary  This leadership role oversees ~500 member Software Product Development teams focusing on developing of Enterprise wide software products and tools leveraging cutting edge technologies. It is responsible for directly leading a ~50 member development team including Technical Architects, Software Developers, and Quality Engineering experts, while collaborating with business leaders across multiple solution areas within a matrix organizational structure. As a senior leader, this role will leverage strategic vision to drive innovation and foster a high-energy, team-oriented work environment.   Major Responsibilities  - Provides strong hands-on leadership and mentoring to highly technical product development teams.  - Ensure continuous improvement in the product as well as the product's compliance to market needs wrapped around cloud.  - Manages product development lifecycle (owns full development responsibility for and lead new initiatives for assigned products) and ensures stability, compatibility, scalability, interoperability and performance of our software products.  - Drives the achievement of product development milestones by avoiding or solving complex problems by harnessing expertise across multiple technologies (Java/J2EE, Big Data, etc.) across domains (Originations Management, etc.) in financial services industry.  - Partners with relevant stakeholders to attract talent, set goals, measure and reward performance.  - Builds and maintains a healthy and productive culture founded on adherence to our corporate values, timely and accurate workforce communications, activities focused on building morale, camaraderie and teamwork.   - Engages in business travel as required.  Ideal Experience  - 18+ years of experience in enterprise software product development in a global organization, with hands-on development experience in Java/J2EE, Big Data and Cloud technologies and involving complex software solutions in BFSI domain that have been successfully delivered to customers.  - Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or related disciplines.  - Strong experience in leading geographically distributed development teams and expertise in managing high performing team(s), with a track record of getting things done - on budget and on schedule.   - Ability to define and analyze numerous product metrics, ability to think strategically and know when and how to apply each in order to influence the success of the product for opportunities.  - Knowledge of best practices for the full software development life cycle including coding standards, secure code coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.  - Excellent communication, analytical and creative problem-solving skills; ability to articulate the design walkthrough with architects and discuss strategy/requirements with teams.  - Ability to work effectively under pressure, multitask, prioritize and show initiative in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.  Critical Leadership Characteristics  - A values-driven leader able to motivate and energize a highly intelligent, experienced team.  - The ability to drive innovation, foster a high-energy environment and partner with leaders and teams across the organization to ensure that our products and services deliver targeted customer value.  - Strong results-focus with proven track record of achieving results through others while juggling competing and changing priorities through active participation; must respect technical talent while being technically credible; a strong mentor and coach.  - Proven ability to build highly effective relationships and manage conflict through a collaborative style.  - Strong detail orientation and willingness to inspect selectively to determine root causes of issues.
