FICO - Analytic Consultant - Optimization - Banking & Financial Services Domain

Job Description - Analytic Consultant (Optimization) :

FICO is looking for a Lead Consultant for key price optimization engagements across the globe in the banking and financial services domain. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience formulating mathematical models for optimization either in banking/financial services (preferred) or in other domains.

Role :

The Analytics team at FICO's Global Delivery Center in Bangalore provides consulting services to leading banks and financial institutions across Asia-Pacific, EMEA, and Americas. The team works on a wide variety of projects across optimization, scorecard and strategy development, and regulatory compliance using the latest tools & techniques.

The role involves working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver high quality, end-to-end analytical solutions that create strong business impact.

Responsibilities :

- Building frameworks for Optimization to capture constraints, objective functions etc. relevant to the business problem.

- Customizing or adapting standardized frameworks to specific client requirements including database design and visualization components.

- Design and development of various decision support models utilizing optimization techniques and predictive analytics.

- Provide consulting support to customers for interpretation and effective usage of optimization models and decision rules.

- Work simultaneously on a number of different projects of varying complexity and length.

- Proactively manage effort to increase client satisfaction and maximize revenue.

Desired Skills and Experience :

- Advanced degree in operations research, mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering or similar technical field with relevant course work in probability, statistics and optimization.

- Over 3 years of experience in mathematical programming, including non-linear/ mixed integer programming in Xpress-Mosel, CPLEX, Gurobi, SAS OR, MATLAB or other open source solvers (such as AMPL, GLPK).

- Ability to think through and build frameworks (constraints, objective etc.) for optimization of business problems is a must.

- Strong programming skills in Java, C/ C++, R, Python, XML or SQL are desirable.

- Experience with generating reports using Tableau or other visualization tools.

- Exposure to statistical techniques like linear/logistic, multinomial logistic, decision trees, gradient boosting, time series.

- Experience with configuring and deploying optimization solutions on Amazon Web Services/other cloud providers in a SaaS model will be an added advantage.

- Prior experience with a bank or financial institution would be highly preferred.

- Strong command of English language with ability to communicate persuasively and effectively.
