Key Accountabilities :

- Leads the goal setting process for an assigned regional area. With guidance on more complex aspects, correctly analyses operational parameters, planned growth, changes to expense structure and market movements etc. Develops goals that incorporate appropriate productivity targets based on evaluation of relevant factors and presents in required formats.

- Communicates proposed goals and based on agreed parameters, secures commitment from relevant decision-makers within required timeframes.

- Leads the development of the formal business plan for an assigned regional area, respecting challenging requirements on timelines. With an appropriate level of guidance, develops a robust plan that is aligned with the overall business goals and supports with relevant business rationale. Presents the business case to Brussels, and with support provides appropriate justifications to secure a plan that is stretching but achievable for the region.

- Supports the central forecasting process by providing accurate information relating to anticipated changes in regional expenditure (one off expenses, accrual adjustments, x etc) based on knowledge of the local business and external factors.

- With guidance, advises the Senior Management Team regarding the impact of trends/changes on business results, where possible agreeing corrective actions to recover performance.

- Supports Directors/Senior Management in making the right business decisions by using business expertise to advise on costs, benefits & constraints of a specific situation (representation within accounts, longevity of the solution etc). Seeks guidance when needed on more complex areas.

- Makes realistic business focused recommendations/ presentations that take into account the current & future local, divisional & corporate impact.

- Develops and maintains a good knowledge of the business, market (competitor, economic, technology, regulatory etc) together with in depth knowledge of financial planning & accounting principles, concepts and tools.

- Incorporates knowledge into daily advice/solutions and shares relevant information with peers and Management.

- Develops and recommends new/enhanced FP&A tools (reports, models etc) to manage key regional or functional performance areas. Involves relevant subject matter experts across functions/countries to ensure proposed solutions are aligned with local business needs. Presents appropriate recommendations to FP&A or local Management.

- With guidance, focuses on cost management by initiating the review and implementation of effective expenditure reductions, controls or initiatives to optimise the use of Company resources/ investments.

- Supports regional management in identifying opportunities or exposure and in evaluating and agreeing actions needed.

- Under guidance, focuses on regional profitability by initiating & conducting reviews of potential improvement areas (large account profitability, country level profitability, GSP versus direct served etc). Recommends relevant actions to senior FP&A and functional management performance and provides support throughout the implementation phase to ensure required results are realised.

- Supports cross-functional project teams (corporate/divisional initiatives, business expansion, new service etc) in developing business focused solutions. Includes advising on potential impact, opportunities or constraints and developing detailed financial analysis to support any stage of the project.

- Provides regional management with accurate reports relating to defined aspects of business performance. Provides group presentations and individual reviews in order to provide interpretation and explanations of results and corrective actions needed. Includes justifying the results, defending the need for actions and securing commitment.
