Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Facility Director to oversee the operations and management of our hospital(s) facility in Bengaluru. As a Facility Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of all aspects of the hospital's Operation, and physical infrastructure, including buildings, equipment, systems, and services. Your primary focus will be on maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors while adhering to all applicable regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Facility Management: Develop and implement effective strategies and policies for the management and maintenance of the hospital's physical infrastructure, including buildings, grounds, equipment, utilities, and other assets.

2. Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Collaborate with the hospital management team to establish and manage the facility's budget, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and cost-effectiveness.

3. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with local, state, and national regulations and standards related to facility management, healthcare, safety, and environmental issues. Ensure the facility's compliance with all applicable regulations.

4. Staff Supervision: Oversee a team of maintenance staff, security personnel, housekeeping staff, and other support personnel. Provide leadership, guidance, and performance management to ensure the smooth functioning of the facility.

5. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures to handle potential crises, including natural disasters, security threats, and other emergencies. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure preparedness and adherence to safety protocols.

6. Vendor Management: Identify and select reliable vendors, contractors, and service providers for facility maintenance, repairs, renovations, and other services. Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure service level agreements are met.

7. Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of facility services and implement corrective measures as required. Conduct periodic inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.

8. Capital Projects: Plan, coordinate, and oversee facility-related construction and renovation projects. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

9. Stakeholder Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication channels with hospital management, medical staff, employees, patients, and visitors to address facility-related issues, gather feedback, and provide updates on facility operations.

10. Sustainability Initiatives: Identify and implement sustainable practices and initiatives to promote energy efficiency, waste reduction, and environmental stewardship within the facility.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

- Minimum of 18-25 years of experience in Operations, p & l, and facility management, preferably in a healthcare setting.

- In-depth knowledge of facility management principles, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

- Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Proven experience in budgeting, resource allocation, and cost management.

- Familiarity with healthcare facility regulations and standards.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

- Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software applications.
