Facebook is seeking a specialist for data research and insights in the Media Partnerships team. Media team manages strategic relationships with our key media partners & public figures across Entertainment, News & Sports for public content on Facebook. The team is the face of Facebook to our external relationships and gets to work with some of the biggest celebrities, atheletes, journalists, talents, movie studios, news publishers & media companies across India. This role will play a pivotal role in a deep dive into insights and be a core part of the media team driving strategic insights. This person will aid via data insights & dashboards, the development of key strategic initiatives, measuring engagement around major events, understanding the impact of conversations by global influencers, understanding engagement around specific content verticals (e.g., Sports, News) on Facebook and Instagram. This person should be comfortable dealing with external research agencies as well as cross-functionally with internal colleagues in Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketing etc to develop and activate insights about how people find and consume digital news and entertainment & meet the strategic objectives of partners and Facebook. This position is located at Mumbai, India

Responsibilities:

- Develop research and measurement strategy and manage prioritization of initiatives across internal stakeholders

- Work closely with analysts on the global Media Partnerships Research team to understand how major media publishers, influencers, and public figures in India are using Facebook and Instagram to connect and share with people around the world

- Develop and maintain robust dashboards via queries into internal systems and become an internal go-to expert for data analytics

- Identify trends and actionable insights to drive future content strategy

- Synthesize a wide variety of inputs from different stakeholders into coherent narratives and action plans

- Be an internal advocate with cross-functional teams - including product, product marketing, engineering, and communications - for partner priorities

- Track, analyze and communicate

- Key quantitative metrics and business trends to and monitor progress across Partners

Minimum Qualifications

- Post Graduate degree with outstanding academic performance

- 7+ years experience, including 5 years in core data insights/research role

- Background in having worked in or knowledge of, media & entertainment ecosystem and functioning of companies within the media ecosystem is a plus

- Strong track record of initiating opportunities that improve the business, increase efficiency and drive business results

- Strong understanding of content consumption behaviors of users in the digital world

- Excellent project management experience, with ability to lead multiple time-sensitive initiatives in parallel

- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans

- Strong in interpreting complex data, advance Excel skills for analyzing and visualizing data

- A passion for developing and telling data-driven stories and recommendations

- Knowledge of Hadoop/Hive, SQL, Tableau, a programming language, or related tools
