Fabindia is scouting for Head - PPC who would be responsible for steering Capacity Planning & ensuring timely delegation of orders across vendor base for both Apparels & Home Business. The incumbent would be required to monitor operations of Procurement Hubs/Field Offices adhering to the approved budgets. The candidate should have minimum 15+ years of experience in Retail/Apparel & Fashion or Import & Export industry.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Vendor Capacity Mapping & Production Planning
- Understand the vendor base across India & ensure mapping of vendor capacity in terms of vendor competency, rating & capacity
- Review distribution lists, fabric requirement projections prepared by in line with vendor capacity
- Ensure timely delegation of order(s) to the Procurement Hubs/Field Offices/ Central Fabric Sourcing team based on the mapped capacity, expertise, past performance, buying budget, tech specs and agreed timeline
- Ensure timely escalation of capacity shortfall (if any) to Central Fabric Sourcing Team/ Procurement Hubs/Field Offices
- Ensure maintenance of buy and performance summary of all suppliers - Vendor report card and range book maintenance
- Plan for improvement in yield / capacity utilization by better capacity planning / scheduling of orders/ vendor development production lead times
- Procurement Hub & Field Office Operations Management
- Monitor operations and build strong governance across Procurement Hubs/Field Offices
- Ensure seamless coordination between Planning team (PPC - Apparel/Home) and Delivery team (Procurement Hubs/Field Offices)
- Monitor stock of finished good available and check the previous day's dispatch as well as production data through daily report detailing inventory availability at Procurement Hubs /Market Region Warehouses, in-production material at vendor site, and in-transit material across all Procurement Hubs
- Liaise with Procurement Hub Heads, Field Office Heads and Central Fabric Sourcing team to ensure that the master production schedule for each production step is adhered to
- Ensure monthly alignment of buys as per OTB
Inventory Management
- Monitor & control inventory by application of different analytical tools like slow moving, non-moving, obsolete, shelf life analysis
- Support the organization to evaluate and implement an inventory management ERP system
Process Governance and Improvement
- Initiatives Monitor SOP adherence to design to shelf process including approval from Quality Control team at all stages
- Schedule and direct internal SCM meetings and track production performance Resolve escalated issues and coordinate with other department HODs for the same
- Undertake specific steps and initiatives as part of assigned improvement projects related to PPC
- Other responsibilities as and when assigned
