EY Business Consulting - Government and Public Sector Advisory (Urban)

We are looking to hire a Consultant/ Senior Consultant to join EY's Government and Public Sector (GPS) advisory team. As part of this team, you will be presented with endless opportunities to learn and grow, while creating positive impact and scale.

As part of the role, you will be given the opportunity to engage and work back with bureaucrats, policy makers, entrepreneurs, tech focused MNCs, trade bodies and associations, to support a large-scale transformation engagement in the state of Karnataka.

Your Key Responsibilities

Skills and Attributes for Success

- Experience in international relations and engagements - working at/ working back with Consulates, Embassies, Trade bodies, Chambers of Commerce, IFIs etc.

- Good understanding of the startup ecosystem with a passion to connect and build engagements with VCs, incubators, international tech partners, etc.

- Provide support and contribute to the design and implementation of programs to support the innovation ecosystem of the State.

- Proven track record in policy research and formulation, program and project management.

- Ability to suggest frameworks and actionable to improve the existing ecosystem and suggesting new projects that could be conducted with stakeholder partners for mutual growth.

- Experience of working at/ engaging with VCs, accelerators, incubators, startups in supporting, designing or implementing programs.

Client service delivery/execution

- Lead delivery and execution of high-quality work products, while managing service quality, brand and client expectations.

- Assess project issues and identify solutions to meet productivity, quality and client goals.

- Identify clients' needs and matches them to appropriate solutions.

- Curate and design strategic programs/ initiatives for the Client in line with client goals and objectives. Make recommendations for new initiatives, practices and procedures to be implemented.

Research and Knowledge Management

- Support the client in preparing thought pieces, analysis of innovation reports and strategy reports

- Prepare research documents on latest trends, policy interventions, global leading practices, etc.

- Contribute to EY knowledge development and management.

To qualify for the role, you should have

- B.Tech/ B.E/ MBA/ relevant Master's with a strong academic record

- 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience

Ideally you should also have

- Kannada language knowledge is preferred

- Experience in the consulting domain

- Excellent communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills.

- Client relationship management and account management skills.

- Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and with external clients)

- High initiative and drive, positive attitude and high commitment
