Job Summary :  Automation Platform is a new sub function created under CT- Shared Business Platform, the group owns automation tool introductions, platform solution design & development of Automation Platforms for external clients and internal SL needs.   - EY US Tax is an early adopter and a leader in driving to complex automation initiatives ( RPA, Cognitive, Chat bots etc)  - The Service delivery leader - automation platform is critical as US Tax intelligent automation team runs various initiatives in parallel for multiple Tax business streams and expects a single delivery leader from automation platform to be partnering with them , driving platform related initiatives, projects, configuration & support, tracking, reporting etc.   The Lead Platform Architect - Automation Platform would lead a set of Platform / solution architects & work along with Automation Platform leadership for delivering platform solutions to key global business and infrastructure initiatives. Also he/she will be responsible for leading and coordinating Automation platform's business projects from a technology solution's perspective, ensuring that infrastructure / platform development activities are consistent with the direction set by accepted best practices and defined standards at EY  Essential Functions of the Job:  - Handle end-to-end automation platform delivery & escalations of all platform related issues with in the US tax on an ongoing basis.   - Utilize multiple Automation Product expertise, and drive platform solutions for various business scenarios  - Drive various Automation platform readiness projects   - Ensure proper oversight for quality assurance of engineering artifacts  - Guidance of engineering staff throughout construction phase  - Minimize technical exposure and risk on project  Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities :   - Understands the art of the possible, compares various Automation platform architectural options based on feasibility and impact and proposes actionable plans  - Demonstrated strong analytical skills and technical problem-solving skills  - Ability to analyze and operate at different levels of abstraction  - Ability to balance what is strategically right with what is practically realistic  Prioritization of personal and team workloads to best meet organizational objectives  Knowledge and Skills Requirements :  - Strong team working skills across matrixed client, supplier and geographically dispersed virtual teams  - Strong communication and interpersonal skills (includes negotiation)  - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing  - Excellent platform architecture skills, enabling the creation of future proof global solutions  - Interpersonal communication and organizational skills required to operate as a leading member of global distributed technical teams that deliver quality services.  - Knowledge of organizational structure of the firm to facilitate work with groups outside of the immediate technical team.  - Knowledge and experience in IT methodologies and life cycles that will be used.  - Familiar with infrastructure implementation/management, service/operations management, etc.  - Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on service offerings and products provided by IT  Detailed Responsibilities :  - Direct supervision provided by the Automation Platform Leader  - Work with peer automation platform solution, project management, configuration & support teams.  Other Requirements :  - Ability to work with Business leaders and US Tax technology leadership during US shifts, as needed.  - Must be able to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal.  - Position requires accurate and timely tracking of time spent working on projects, service offerings and products provided by IT.  Experience :  - Work experience in a professional services industry, preferred  - Good knowledge of how services functions in a global environment  - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence appropriate outcome (in English)  - Organizational skills and the ability to flex in a constantly changing environment  - Minimum of 8+ years experiences in infrastructure technologies   - Minimum of that 3+ year in an infrastructure solution platform design and architecture role in areas like but not limited to hosting,  - .Experience facilitating meetings with multiple customers and technical staff, including building consensus and mediating compromises when necessary.  - Experience overseeing (from a technical perspective) multiple projects
