About the role

The position provides global leadership and overall direction for Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research at EY India. Leveraging both internal and external stakeholders to maximize their contribution. The individual of M&E+ is responsible for leading and managing the monitoring system, research projects, knowledge management, and internal and external evaluations. Develop M&E policy and multi-year strategies, including the development of the M&E+ strategy for the fiscal year.

Key Responsibilities

Grant and/or program management support

- Manage teams in EY to develop robust systems to review and learn from grants made by building monitoring as well as impact measurement plans.

- Manage the Programme team to build a long-term view of programs and program interventions through an analysis of external data as well as program data emerging from the field.

- Build learning frameworks that can help to build a deep understanding of social change and a method for program teams to build multi-dimensional programs in a particular geography or with communities.

Evaluations and long-term learning

- Design evaluation frameworks and engage with both internal and external teams conducting the evaluations to ensure a robust process and high-quality outputs at the end of the evaluation.

- Synthesise learnings that have emerged from different evaluations in order to understand change processes and suggest changes in monitoring and evaluation methods that can improve the quality of the work of the Foundation and its partners.

- Review external data available and triangulate with primary data emerging from the field to improve the approaches and strategies within a particular program.

- Prepare review documents for grants and programs for internal needs including for the Senior Leadership and Partners

- Improve data collection and management tools that can enable both quantitative and qualitative understanding of the Impact on the organization

Data Management and Analysis

- Work on existing data management systems and improve data analysis for impact to identify potential modifications and resources required for the same.

- Synthesise data and prepare reports that will give perspective on grants, themes as well as the external ecosystem in which partners work.

- Conduct field visits to understand the challenges of data collection as well as the issues of data quality and data flow, especially for programs supported by the Foundation.

- Work with program teams, partners, and other stakeholders to improve the quality of data and data reporting systems

- Work with large data sets as necessary to generate field data reports that can assist the implementation of programs.

Business development

- Manage clients & accounts and built professional relationships

- Meet business development targets by identifying new opportunities with existing and new clients

- Demonstrate significant industry/solution expertise

People management

- Be a strong team player, Build a strong team and be a strong role model, mentor, and coach

- Assist in resolving people issues,

- Support people development through guidance and feedback

- Ensure compliance to the firm's standards, processes and policies

- Contribute to the firm's initiatives in enhancing market leadership & growth, quality, people agenda and operational excellence, take the lead in recruiting activities,

To qualify for the role you must have

- Master's degree in statistics, data science, international development or related field. PhD preferred.

- Understanding approach to M&E strategies across large IFIs and Donor organizations

- Able to design and implement M&E frameworks across sectors

- Has experience in supporting/developing IT based/digital M&E platforms - preferable

- A proven Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning subject matter expert with at least 10 years of experience in qualitative and quantitative research design, data collection, analysis, and reporting in a developing context across PAN India, Willingness to travel
