EY - Senior Consultant - Livelihood - Rural Development Projects (10-15 yrs)

Essentials :

1. In-depth understanding of decentralized governance and policies around rural development.

2. Experience of working with National / State agencies/Govt./Bilateral-multilateral institutions / Rural development programmes and related capacity building interventions

3. Superior analytical/problem-solving skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity

4. Ability to conduct high quality analysis on large volumes of data, experience with SPSS/STATA and MS Projects preferred

5. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Hindi. Knowledge of regional languages will be an advantage

6. Positive Attitude and respect for work

7. High interpersonal skills

8. Ownership for assigned responsibilities and organization frameworks

9. Ability to build and develop internal as well as client relationships

10. Willingness to travel domestically and willingness to relocate

11. Readiness to work in remote locations

12. Time management skills - the ability to work with deadlines and multitask

Job Role :

1. Lead and provide technical guidance, supervision and support to all aspects of livelihoods on the program (includes planning, budget management, implementation, and reporting)

2. Efficient support to tasks related to advocacy, planning and programming, resources mobilization, monitoring and evaluation, and representation.

3. Ensuring strategic direction of project operations, day to day management and delivery of the Project's components.

4. Development and implementation of livelihoods assessment tools and approaches

5. Develop standards and systems for implementing livelihood approaches working with rural communities

6. Prepare inception reports, work plans and regular progress and impact reports for the project

7. Providing support in policy development and implementation

8. Client service delivery/execution: Execute projects and documentation, often supporting multiple clients

9. Knowledge Management: (1) Support knowledge sharing efforts and continually improve processes so that the work team can capture and leverage knowledge

10. Develop sector expertise: Develop good understanding of specific sectors

Academic Qualifications:

MBA/ PGDM/ MSW / Postgraduate in Rural Development/ Management or equivalent qualification (2 years full time) from reputed institute or university

Experience:

1. Minimum 10 years of experience with union or state Government or other donor-funded development projects focused on livelihoods (preferably with experience related to on- farm, off-farm and employment livelihoods)

3. Demonstrated ability to work and coordinate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, including national and local government, donors, community- based organizations, and the private sector

4. Experience in project management and Reporting
