Senior Consultant- Finance Analyst- Government & Public sector advisory

EY is looking for a Finance Analyst who will be responsible for leading projects in the field of Government & Public sector advisory

Your Role:

- Responsible for effectively engaging with the client and execute the assignment

- Drive innovation in service delivery; ensure delivery is in line with firm's Quality and Risk management requirements/expectations

- Develop / Refresh methodologies related to our existing/new solutions

- Take up project execution responsibility in a team or individually as per requirements and work plan

- Review work done by sub-ordinates (if any) and provide qualitative inputs before submission of deliverables to seniors/client (as the case may be)

- Sensitive towards EY code of conduct, values and quality standards.

Scope of work:

- Submit monthly progress reports, in detail, to the Authority and shall attend periodical reviews to be conducted by the Authority with various departments of the Government. Consultant shall make presentations to Authority and to various departments as required during various stages of the assignment.

- The Consultant will study the past performance of about 50 selected enterprises based on published or readily available data for last 10 years and benchmark the performances with that of private sector Competitors. The Consultant will look into the following aspects in the past data and reports (Nut not limited to): Profit trends, Revenue growth trends, EBIDTA, Cashflow, valuation of fixed assets, ratio analysis, segmental analysis, Tax planning, procurement cost and benchmarking

- Review and analyse board notes for various PSUs and Statutory boards and provide insights on the same and brief the respective Finance Directors on issues to be raised during the Board Meetings or other Committee meetings or independently with the CEOs

- Possibility of merger with similar PSUs as a tax planning measure and also for operational efficiency.

- Study the latest sectoral developments and trends for the applicable sectors and keep the authority abreast about the same

- Advise on procurement matters for various PSUs and Statutory boards including procurement of goods and services/ e-procurement / tender process / policies / standard operating procedures/ templates etc.

Academic qualifications: Chartered Accountant

Years of Experience: 10+

Additional Details:

- Candidates should be willing to travel

- IT Savvy

- Must be good in report writing

- Good Interpersonal and communication skills
