Job Description:

- Responsible for managing and leading the quality and technical pillars of the Private Equity team. This lead would be involved with education and training, mentoring and development, review of and coordination on process documents with other GDS teams, assistance with responding to queries from PE account teams and GDS PE team members, among other activities.

- Assist Global Independence, PE CoE and GDS Leadership in bringing in awareness about Independence in Private Equity teams.

- Have an oversight role on the overall service delivery of the team.

- Other responsibilities include onboarding new customer groups, process transition, business transformation initiatives, setting up billing and work order processes, performance management and development, recruitment of the team members.

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Technical Excellence:

- Support and get involved in the PE CoE activities as the GDS PE liaison to the PE CoE. An example can be updating of Private Equity work programs in co-ordination with Independence. Also, conduct necessary trainings and sessions to implement the change in process.

- Be part of the GDS PE task force and bring in insights for the GDS teams to better the value proposition and support.

- The role will require an individual to be more involved and proactive in identifying independence issues, possibilities for enhancements in processes, technical learning, and developing the team from a technical perspective.

- Be abreast of emerging knowledge, trends and lessons learned. Creates and delivers training presentations to communicate new developments and resulting impacts to engagement teams and Independence team members.

- Develops solid understanding of EY & Regulator's definitions of an audit client and restrictions around them

- Continuously looks for new opportunities for the GDS to add value to the existing process

Client Management:

- Introduction with the account teams and at times with clients to get the information directly and moving upward in the decision-making matrix.

- Will be responsible for setting up and managing the query resolution helpdesk with defined TAT.

- Educate PE clients about Independence process, policies, work programs.

- Actively manage the client's expectation through setting up a robust client management framework

People Management:

- Manages performance of team members-from setting goals to assessing performance against goals to providing performance feedback.

- Ensures adherence to work-flow protocol and tools

- Coordinates training schedules for new and existing members of the team

- Coaches and mentors team members for professional development and recommends training requirements to address perceived gaps

Qualification and Competencies:

- MBA or post- graduate experience

- At least 10 years of professional experience, out of which a minimum of 5 years should have been spent in working with Private Equity teams.
