EY GDS - Manager - Financial Advisory

The opportunity

This opportunity supports the IT Finance team in managing $200+ million in IT assets and services. IT will require regular interaction with local finance in over 160 different countries. The position will have senior management visibility and interaction both in IT and with the senior leaders in EYs geographical management structure. The position will support ongoing initiatives to change the way EY charges costs from the global IT organization to EYs member firms, improving transparency into IT costs for the firms while influencing behaviors in the member firms in ways that are beneficial to the larger firm. This will be key to protecting EYs industry leading position.

Key responsibilities -

- Manage the execution of all planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and decision support activities for the IT Consumables assets and services

- Responsibility for regular member firm interaction with virtually all member firms to respond to inquiries, research variances and especially to correct posting errors

- Financial support for 3 Director level IT managers responsible for managing these assets

- Support for quarterly Tech Area Governance Committees and will include interaction with deputy Area Managing Partners, Geography IT relationship managers, Global Procurement and IT leaders (4 sessions per quarter with EMEIA, Americas, APAC and others)

- Support for ongoing change initiatives, particularly service costing and cost transparency

- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills, and an ability to work well under deadlines, with attention to detail

- English language skills excellent written and oral communication

- Ability to work within a global (virtual) team

To qualify for the role you must have

- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance and MBA in Finance/Chartered Accountant or equivalent degree.

- Strong understanding of IT Finance demonstrating experience in the field of technology finance and related technology costs

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to interact with senior managers and fill the finance business partner role

- Background in SAP

- Experience operating within an IT Service Catalog environment is a plus
