EY - Domain Community Implementation Lead (10-13 yrs)

Job Summary:

The Domain Community Implementation Lead manages highly complex solution implementation projects on behalf of aligned domains and works closely with the domain knowledge team, including Knowledge Managers, Knowledge Leaders and others. This position advises and oversees the effective implementation of knowledge and collaboration solutions within a specific domain. Viewed as the subject matter expert, this position promotes best collaboration practices, robust and sustainable collaboration sites using EY preferred solutions and input into and consistent application of methods and standards.

This position manages the Community Advisors aligned to that domain.

Essential Functions of the Job:

- Collaborate closely with Knowledge Managers and Leaders to provide deep subject matter expertise and agile solutions to solve clients business needs

- Work with the domain knowledge team to support account, pursuit, industry or sector teams to identify and define business needs and recommend appropriate solutions that will enable greater collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

- Lead complex implementation projects to support sustainable domain adoption of new platforms and solutions through use of consistent methods and approaches

- Promote best practices and the use of EY preferred knowledge and collaboration solutions and adherence to implementation methods and standards (social collaboration, responsible use, design, configuration etc)

- Lead the Community Implementation (Domain) team and effectively execute all related people processes for domain-aligned Community Advisors including recruitment, people management, coaching, mentoring and counselling.

- Responsible for quality of work delivered by the Community Implementation (Domain) team, assigns work and monitors team and individual workload

- May oversee significant portions (domain-aligned) of major or highly complex implementation programs, i.e. Home Sites

- Consult on/present recommendations to senior leadership on solutions and influence final decisions

- Build and maintain productive relationships with the domain knowledge team and relevant domain business stakeholders

- Capture domain business needs and user feedback to ensure continuous improvement of our processes, platforms, solutions and level of practitioner engagement

- Build, develop and maintain a strong understanding of the issues, needs and challenges for communities within the domain. Share knowledge with Community Advisors to support understanding and relevance to domain.

- Coach, mentor and train Community Managers (and Knowledge Managers performing this role) to effectively manage and sustain their communities. This will include ongoing touchpoints to review progress, promote leading practices and share new developments/techniques.

- Identify and promote internal and external best practices through defined processes and programs (success stories, interviews)

- Lead or contribute to function-wide or cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

- Working with the domain knowledge team, this role determines collaboration activities (and processes) required to achieve domain business objectives

- Manages complex to highly complex projects that require the ability to create and implement timelines related to project deliverables, assign tasks and follow up on their completion and manage sponsor/customer expectations of the outcome of the deliverable.

- Adheres to all firm policies, guidelines and standards in relation to responsible use of collaboration platforms and solution configuration

- Understands the firm's go-to-market strategy and service delivery models, how core business services support business lines, and how knowledge collaboration strategies enable exceptional client service and high performing teams.

- Understands EY Vision 2020 and Knowledge Transformation, and ensures key knowledge collaboration strategies are aligned to them

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

- Strong understanding of collaboration and community management best practices, principles and supporting technologies

- Expertise in SharePoint and other collaboration technologies

- Excellent project management skills and a proven track record in this area including demonstrable knowledge and understanding of project management practices and methods

- Strong analytical skills to grasp complexities and perceive relationships among problems and issues.

- Ability to think strategically and consider a broad range of factors when solving/prioritizing issues and making decisions

- Strong people management skills (delegating, coaching, mentoring, team building)

- Strong relationship management skills (stakeholder management, negotiation, facilitation, influencing)

- Understanding of the business and demonstrated commercial acumen using commercial language that presents knowledge activities in the context of business objectives

- Ability to demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills to talk about knowledge programs in a clear, compelling manner with a professional/executive presence

- Strong team player, able to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team to advance the delivery of domain-specific knowledge goals

- Proven track record in virtual management of geographically dispersed team. Able to align a set of individuals from different geographies and cultures around a shared set of goals and objectives

- Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, global environment and to manage priorities accordingly

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio

Supervision Responsibilities:

- Able to operate independently to meet deadlines and adapt quickly to change.

- Manages a small, domain-aligned team that is geographically dispersed

- May also manage cross-functional project teams

- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, responsible for individual and team delivery in a fast-paced environment

Other Requirements:

- Travel may be required pending business and project needs

- Working hours, flexible work arrangements and time off may be limited during specific times or deadlines

- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate workload and multiple time zones as needed

Education:

- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience. An advanced degree is preferred.

Experience:

- 10-12 years - relevant experience including 5 years or more in a knowledge or digital environment, professional services environment an advantage

- Prior experience managing the implementation of digital platforms and solutions (online communities an advantage)

- Prior experience of supporting the specific domain (sector/service line) an advantage
