Essentials of the role:
Microsoft SharePoint is one of EY's most critical global Enterprise Service Platforms and one of the largest SharePoint implementations globally. As the Leader of the SharePoint Enterprise Services function, you will work with business stakeholders, EY's Infrastructure Services Organization, and Solutions Delivery Teams to ensure that EY uses the SharePoint platform efficiently to maximize its benefits.
You will be accountable for defining the platform strategy, roadmap and architecture, and will drive its implementation. You will also ensure that the platform enables rapid delivery of new business solutions
Key Responsibilities :
As the Global SharePoint Services leader, you will be accountable for EY's global SharePoint Enterprise Platform Your primary accountabilities include:
Enterprise SharePoint Platform Strategy :
- Set strategic direction of the Enterprise SharePoint platform to ensure that the platform is fit for purpose, services are well defined and the evolution of platform is managed to maximize its benefits.
- Define appropriate platform architecture, policies, and standards
- Drive towards Cloud Service adoption, while remaining sensitive to local regulatory requirements
Strategic Relationship Management :
- Maintain trusted relationships with key platform stakeholders, including business customers, GIS and IT Solutions
- Delivery teams, jointly assess their needs and incorporate into platform roadmap
- Manage relationship with internal and external suppliers to ensure seamless end-to-end service
Governance and Processes :
- Provide governance and ensure architectural guidance during development of SharePoint based solutions to ensure compatibility with the Enterprise Platform and manage intake process
- Manage exception requests for deviation from standards and drive resolution of these
Solution Delivery :
- Manage efficient process to create fit-for-purpose SharePoint solutions which run on the platform. This includes both solutions based on the configuration of template sas well as custom-built solutions.
- Enable development of new solutions using Agile methods
- Accelerate solution delivery through creation and maintenance of reusable platform component
Stable Operations :
- Ensure integrity of Platform environments throughout the entire lifecycle
- Manage operational stability and availability of Enterprise Platform, in close collaboration with our Global Infrastructure Services organization.
Team Management :
- Build and maintain trusted relationships and open two-way communication with business and IT partners
- Maintain - One team, one goal- culture with business and IT stakeholders
- Management of a globally dispersed team of resources (both internal and external)
- Management of platform technology budget
- Ability to navigate within a matrixed environment and find ways to remove organizational roadblocks
- Ability to build strong teaming relationships across IT
Key Qualifications:
- Proven success in delivering SharePoint Services at a global scale, both on-premises and in the cloud (O365)
- Experience in developing and operating business-critical applications
- Exceptional strategic thinking, ability to consider impact and opportunities of a fast-changing technology market on Business Unit, paired with ability to propose innovative responses and practical implementation approaches
- Ability and to work effectively and with credibility with senior business leaders
- Outstanding communication skills both oral and written paired with the ability to tailor the message to various audiences
- Exceptional decision-making ability, balancing what is right for what is realistic
- Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change
- Ability to work and team with a multitude of different people from various parts if the Business and IT
- Possess a high energy level, sense of urgency, decisiveness, and an ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to understand and integrate cultural differences and motives, and to influence cross-cultural teams
- Relevant Master's degree preferred, Bachelor's degree required
