EY - Data Scientist (5-10 yrs)

The opportunity :
- EY is looking for a data scientist that will help us develop analytic solutions to solve real time client problems. The incumbent would be responsible for end to end data design architecture
- With primary focus on applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrated with our offering.
Your Key Responsibilities :
- Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques
- Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
- Extending company's data with third party sources of, and vice-versa when needed
- Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
- Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
- Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
- Conceptualizing new age analytical solutions to solve current and future client needs
Skills and Attributes for Success :
- Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.
- Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Python, etc. Excellence in at least one of these is highly desirable
- Experience with data visualisation tools, such as D3.js, Tableau, GGplot, etc.
- Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL, Hive, Pig
- Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
- Data-oriented personality
To qualify for the role you must have :
- B.Tech. preferably in Computer Science
- 5-9 years of relevant work experience
Ideally you will also have :
- Positive attitude. Go getter mindset
- Excellent interpersonal skills and hands on approach towards his/her work
- Ability to understand and solve business problems
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and derive meaningful outcomes
- Eager to be part of a growing team
