EY - Content Advisor (5-10 yrs)

Job Summary:

The Content Advisor is responsible for sourcing and optimizing high value enterprise content for service lines/sectors/markets stakeholders. This position is part of a global team that executes strategic content priorities and programs and works collaboratively with EY Knowledge domain teams to achieve knowledge program objectives.

This position involves content sourcing (needs/gap assessment, harvesting content, acquiring content), content curation (managing strategic content collections / sites, monitoring content performance), and optimizing content for findability and use (abstracts, titles, metadata tagging).

This position focuses on optimizing the distribution of knowledge assets in context for the consuming domain across the infrastructure and sites that the Community & Content Management team supports.

Essential Functions of the Job - 

- Work with the EY Knowledge domain teams to execute the content strategy and plan

- Improve the quality, volume and relevance of content within a given domain

- Execute content projects focused on leveraging best practices, sourcing information assets required by the business, harvesting/collecting content, advising / evaluating acquired content, managing content collections for strategic knowledge sites, and optimizing content for delivery by applying proper metadata, refining abstracts/titles, etc.

- Ensure content is optimized and findable within the firm and in line with established processes and quality standards

- Provide perspective and recommendations to solve content issues and contribute to overall improvements benefiting the user / business.

- Assess content gaps and provide recommendations on content needs

- Work closely with Community & Content Management teams to ensure content projects are executed as per agreed priorities / timelines

- Articulate content sourcing and optimization processes in clear terms; interpret business issues and communicate ramifications of decisions to stakeholders

- Build strong relationships with EY Knowledge domain teams and business stakeholders

- Recommend courses of action and manage relationships for positive progress, respond to problems of medium complexity and prescribe solutions

- Develop program/project plans for content priorities

- Work collaboratively with a global team in various geographies

- Contribute to process improvements

- Share knowledge and best practices across the team to support a knowledge sharing culture

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

- Applies judgment in tailoring methodologies, processes and practices to specific requirements of products/services

- Understands the firm's go-to-market strategy and service delivery models, how core business services support the service lines, and how knowledge enables exceptional client service and high performing teams.

- Understands EY Vision 2020 and Knowledge Transformation, and ensures key knowledge content management strategies are aligned to them

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

- Relevant experience working in a knowledge management role

- Relevant experience in a professional services firm, business acumen; domain experience helpful

- Strong technical skills and understanding of knowledge management principles and content management practices

- Experience in successfully implementing complex projects; solves problems of medium complexity

- Strong relationship and project management skills

- Strong organizational skills and execution discipline

- Good verbal and written communication skills, including ability to display a range of communication approaches for diverse community needs

- Able to demonstrate team management experience, depending on supervisory responsibilities

- Strong teamwork and mentoring skills

- Proficient in relevant technologies

- Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

- Ability to quickly analyze issues, develop solutions and effectively communicate recommendations

- Understanding of and desire to strive for technical excellence in knowledge management

- Understanding of the business and demonstrated commercial acumen using commercial language that presents knowledge activities in the context of business objectives

- Ability to demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills to talk about knowledge programs in a clear, compelling manner with a professional demeanor

Supervision Responsibilities:

- Able to work independently with minimal guidance and solves problems of medium complexity

- Provides informal guidance to and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Other Requirements:

- Working hours, flexible work arrangements and time off may be limited during specific times or deadlines

- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate workload and multiple time zones as needed

Job Requirements:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Experience:

- 5 - 7 years of relevant experience

- Experience in knowledge management practices/strategies an advantage
