EY - Consultant - Agro Forestry

1. In-depth understanding of the current economic and business environment and Government policies around forestry/forest management and rural development and experience in the following sub-areas : agro-forestry, NTFP, monitoring and evaluation, livelihoods, SHGs, JFM, ecotourism, wildlife management, climate change, wetland management, biodiversity conservation, IEC, capacity development.

1. Support in policy development and implementation

2. Client service delivery/execution: Execute projects and documentation, often supporting multiple clients

3. Support Business Development efforts: Support Partner/Manager in BD pursuits via proposal creation, demonstrating good understanding of sector and solution. Understand RFP needs and respond to RFP within the stipulated time frame

4. Knowledge Management :

(1) Support knowledge sharing efforts and continually improve processes so that the work team can capture and leverage knowledge

5. Network & Identify opportunities :

(1) Identify new opportunities for existing clients and communicate to the manager

(2) Network internally within the peer group and other levels in the firm, in order to gain understanding of issues that may impact clients

6. Develop industry expertise : Develop good understanding of specific sectors/industries

Academic Qualifications :

- PG in in Forestry/ Forestry related discipline/ Agriculture or MBA in General Management/Rural Management

Experience :

- 5 - 8 years of work experience in the above areas

1. Currently working with government organizations/ ministries willing to move to a consulting organization

2. Currently associated with Development Advisory work, NGOs etc. and willing to move to a consulting organization

3. Ex Government/ PSU employees
