Job Purpose: The required Chartered Accountant / Financial Expert will be responsible for processing applications related to the disbursement of incentives under various Government Schemes. The role involves examining Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), evaluating project costs, investments made in land, building, plant & machinery, and other heads. The candidate will also verify GST credits and payments, validate invoices/bills, assess installed and production capacity, and coordinate with Chartered Accountants and Chartered Engineering firms for physical verification of project implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Review and process applications for incentive disbursement under Government schemes.
2. Scrutinize and verify Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) submitted by applicants.
3. Analyze and evaluate project costs, including investment in land, building, plant, and machinery.
4. Review the allocation of expenses under various heads such as working capital, equipment, and other project-related expenditures.
5. Examine GST credits, payments made, and verify the financial compliance of the applicant.
6. Validate the authenticity of invoices and bills submitted for incentive claims.
7. Assess the installed capacity and production capacity of the applicant's plant.
8. Ensure that the project implementation aligns with the claims made in the incentive application.
9. Collaborate with Chartered Accountants and Chartered Engineering firms for physical verification of assets, capacity, and implementation.
10. Liaise with external consultants for verification of project implementation.
11. Ensure compliance with government regulations and guidelines.
12. Prepare reports and provide updates to management on the status of incentive applications and disbursements.
Qualifications:
- Any Chartered Accountant/ Cost Accountant/ Auditor or Postgraduate in Management / MBA in Finance/ Economics/ Business Economics or Civil Engineer related subjects
- Minimum 8 years of experience in finance, auditing, or DPR analysis with atleast 3 years of experience of reviewing government incentive schemes.
Preferred Competencies:
- Experience in examining DPRs, project costs, and investment evaluations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the workings of government departments or public sector enterprises.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of government schemes and incentives related to industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost evaluation.
- Thorough understanding of GST regulations, credits, and financial compliance.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for working with external consultants.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
