Manager (Associate Vice President) - Strategy & Transactions - Lead Advisory

- The Lead Advisory team is a business unit within the Strategy & Transactions practice. This LA partners with its clients to identify the best opportunities and assists them in choosing and consummating the right transactions for their business success. With a dedicated team of professionals in our Lead Advisory business, we offer comprehensive and integrated solutions to our clients, and assist them in aligning their transaction and business strategy to drive shareholder value and stay ahead of competition.

This team provides specialist lead advisory services on the following:

- Mergers & acquisitions

- Divestitures

- Privatizations

- Joint Ventures/Strategic Alliances

- Capital raising

- Capital Markets

- Corporate Restructuring.

Your key responsibilities:

Project Execution:

- Lead role in execution of client service

- Independently lead development of the information memorandum, Financial model and due diligence

- Support the partner in deal negotiations and on the finalization of the commercial aspects of the definitive agreements

Risk Management:

- Ensure compliance with risk management strategies, plans and activities

- Handle straightforward risk management issues.

- Takes on progressively greater risk management responsibility for high risk issues

- Proactively resolve (with Partner support) risk issues in delivering service to clients

Skills and attributes for success:

- Have experience in closing deals (M&A and PE capital raise) is critical

- Extensive experience of developing pitches independently

- Comprehensive understanding of financial modelling and valuation

- Knowledge of deal structuring commercials (both strategic and PE/VC deals)

- Be well aware of rules and regulations that apply to M&A deals

- Have good working experience of financial analysis and strategy

- Positive attitude and high commitment

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Project management/time management

To qualify for the role you must have

- CA or MBA (preferably from a premier institute) with a good academic background

- 6-8 years of relevant post qualification experience

Preferred - Investment Banks, M&A teams of large Banks, NBFCs or Insurance companies and have successfully closed deals, Private Equity / Venture Capital firms

Ideally you'll also have:

- Previous valuation experience in professional services/Big 4 Firm.

- Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills.

- Be highly flexible, adaptable, and creative.

- Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client)

- Strong leadership skills and supervisory responsibility.
