EY - Assistant Manager - ITTS - Operational Transaction Services (5-9 yrs) Premium

The Operational Transaction Services team advise and support clients through the complete deal lifecycle providing a range of sell-side and buy-side IT services to clients. Services range from complex IT due diligence, post-merger integration, carve out/ separation, post deal value enhancement through to corporate restructuring. The team deliver buy side and sell side engagements for corporate firms and private equity houses across the transaction life-cycle.

GDS Client responsibilities : 

- Working within the Operational Transaction Services IT Due Diligence Hub team to deliver IT Transaction Services engagements including IT Due Diligence, Portfolio Optimization and IT advice to PE portfolio companies.

- Working on engagements that include IT due diligence (ITDD) assignments (example, buy-side, sell-side, IPO) from inception to completion including leading client meetings and interviews

- Support delivery and review of high-quality, risk-managed reports and other work products in various formats

- Support the development and delivery of technical proposals, attending sales meetings and sales presentations

- Support internal practice development effort including development of tools, accelerators, methodologies and market propositions

- Support Quality and Risk Management (Q&RM) efforts throughout client engagements, determining that all client work is delivered consistently complying with Ernst & Young's Q&RM guidelines

Qualifications/skills you'll need as an Executive- Operational Transaction Services- IT:

Technical skills requirements. Exposure to at least one the following:

- Experience of transactions, ideally in performing of IT Due Diligence and/or IT post-merger integration, separation/carve-out assignments

- Experience in industry in a Managerial capacity (within an organisation's IT department or on the IT supplier side)

- 6-8 years- experience of IT advisory and consulting within a professional services environment

- IT programme execution experience (e.g. CRM \ ERP change programmes)

The following should be considered as 'must have' attributes:

- Broad knowledge and deep understanding of one or more core aspects of a typical IT function, including Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy and Governance, Systems Integration and Application Development, IT Service Delivery, IT infrastructure, IT financials and dynamics of an IT function

- Programme and project management expertise with demonstrable experience in managing and being responsible for the delivery of successful programmes

- Knowledge of Structured methodologies and a familiarity with industry standards such as ITIL for Infrastructure, Systems Development Life Cycle methods and COBIT for IT governance

- Ability to provide insights based on experience on IT aspects of transaction deals that are relevant and valued by clients and readers of the IT Due Diligence reports

- Strong writing skills and experience of producing high calibre reports, papers, presentations and thought leadership

- Excellent English language verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills

- Flexible with working locations, the ability to learn quickly and leverage skills in new situations

- Experience of IT outsourcing, vendor management and IT procurement

- Knowledge in one or more industry sectors

- Business administration or accounting knowledge (example MBA or CA or CIMA)

- The ability to travel and work across the EU

- Experience of working in US, UK and Central Europe will be a plus
