EY- Strategy and Transaction - TRS VC- ESG DD Associate Manager

Within SaT, TRS team services clients with a full range of hands-on, operationally focused support and advice across the transaction life cycle, across buyers and sellers. We cover a wide range of operational aspects, including divestiture advisory services, carve-out readiness and support, operational due diligence, synergy assessment and delivery, day-one readiness assessment, 100day planning, integration process support, carve-out/stand-alone costs assessment and risks, and cost reduction.

The opportunity

TRS Value Creation team provides transformative solutions to clients to achieve sustainable, margin improvements and strategically align resources to growth initiatives

We're looking for Associate Manager having experience in delivering ESG diligence. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm and develop your career through a broad scope of engagements, mentoring, and learning & development.

Your key responsibilities

- Create and design tailored transaction advisory reports specific to key ESG issues such as environmental performance, diversity and inclusion programs, ethics and compliance, etc

- Manage buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, providing ESG due diligence assistance

- Analyze target company data to identify ESG performance, potential liabilities and risks, which have potential impact on the valuation and negotiation of the target company

- Assist in business development activities including preparing presentations for client and internal pursuit meetings

- Build relationships with EY offices across the globe and demonstrate knowledge of regional practices. Responsible for high degree of GDS user satisfaction with engagement process and work products

- Identify business development opportunities and assist Partners and Senior Managers on proposals and new business opportunities

- Create work products documenting the engagement procedures performed against objectives and review documents VDR (virtual data room) to deliver engagements

- Manage client engagement teams executing TRS services which support key decision makers in developing and executing their transaction strategy to secure deal value

- Provide guidance on projects and mentor a team of TRS professionals

- Conduct timely performance reviews for employees and develop other professionals by providing effective performance feedback and training. Lead by example

Skills and attributes for success

- Understanding of M&A life cycle, carve-out / integration of a business post-announcement of transaction, cross-border M&A

- Ability to identify carve-out and integration considerations

- Talent to adapt to new challenges and ideas

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent problem solving, project management, and interpersonal skills

To qualify for the role, you must have

- Degree in Economics, Accounting Sustainability, Business, Political Science, Environmental Engineering, Climate Science, Physical Sciences or related field; from a premier institute with 5-6 years of applicable industry and/or consulting experience

- Strong current knowledge in one or more of the following: ESG frameworks (such as SASB, UNPRI, TCFD, CDC, etc), Securities and Exchange Commission financial reporting issues, International Financial Reporting Standards, mergers and acquisitions or transaction services

- Well versed with Microsoft tools MS Excel and PowerPoint

- Willingness to undertake international travel as per business requirement

Ideally, you'll also have

- Project management skills

- Strong communication and presentation skills
