Position Summary:


This position is responsible for the strategic communications and marketing for the Advisory practice in EY's Global Delivery Services (GDS). As the Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) Assistant Director, you'll define and execute marketing plans for new and high growth services with a particular focus on driving and deploying these initiatives across the global EY organization,


The role works closely with the GDS Advisory leadership team to develop marketing and communications strategies, plans and materials to communicate to potential and current employees, users and clients. This includes launching new services, creating awareness, building the Advisory and GDS brand, and developing relationships with key target audiences. It is also responsible for facilitating effective internal communication and change in support of the EY's global strategy and Advisory's business objectives.


The candidate must be an excellent leader, writer, editor and confident relationship builder. S/he must be able to develop creative and effective campaigns; be able to translate business-development strategy into measurable tactics aligned with business goals.


The incumbent is expected to provide strong counsel on integrated marketing programs and communications and will acquire the subject matter expertise necessary to be a strategic advisor on all areas of Brand, Marketing, and Communications. The role will also manage content development, channels and contribute to select events. It will also provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to members of the GDS BMC team, and work closely and collaboratively with other BMC colleagues globally.

Global Delivery Services (GDS) is EY's shared services organization. It consists of multiple service centers to deliver a range of support and services to EY.


GDS Advisory provides client service support to EY's Advisory practice as well as to Regional practices around the world. It is the fastest-growing service delivery team in GDS and is expected to grow to over 10,000 client servers by 2020. GDS Advisory helps EY be competitive in the market by providing innovative solutions; enhancing service delivery through standard processes; and improving margins by reducing the cost of service delivery.


Responsibilities :


- Develop and deliver an effective internal marketing strategy and plan to promote new services and build the GDS Advisory and overall GDS brand across EY.


- Appropriately position GDS Advisory's services across the organization - connecting and building relations with global stakeholders in order to do so.


- Define and deliver an impactful internal communications strategy, approach and tactical plan that builds alignment and understanding within the service line and across the organization.


- Manage a range of Global and GDS communications programs/initiatives with GDS Advisory.


- Execute against the communications and marketing plans - identifying appropriate channels target audiences and developing the appropriate collateral.


- Review and develop quarterly detailed tactical communications and activation plans.


- Work closely with key stakeholders within GDS Advisory to understand key priorities, objectives, key messages and change priorities - and provide related BMC support.


- Support development of messaging and position for new GDS Advisory services.


- Work closely with colleagues in the Global BMC and Global Advisory BMC to ensure successful communication and greater engagement around various business initiatives across geographic regions.


- Work closely with GDS Advisory leadership on leadership messaging, as well as the alignment of GDS Advisory messaging across geographies, service lines and sectors.


- Manage all GDS Advisory channels as well as specific communications/channels for the GDS Advisory leader.


- Produce engaging and informative content for GDS Advisory Leaders for use at key user and client events.


- Identify appropriate events and opportunities for GDS Advisory Leadership to be represented/positioned.


- Act as trusted advisor to GDS Advisory leadership - providing ongoing strategic communications counsel and coaching on BMC related matters.


- Develop and maintain GDS Advisory content across internal EY and GDS channels, including social media.


- Contribute GDS Advisory content to GDS communication collaterals as required.


- Develop measurement and evaluation tools for reporting each quarter. Use metrics to inform communications and channel decisions.


- Supervisory and/or counselor/team leader responsibilities for GDS Advisory BMC resources


- Coach and mentor other members of the GDS Advisory and GDS BMC team on a one-to-one basis as required.


- Liaise and work with in-house designers and editorial group for collateral and campaign development and communication-related activities.


- Supervise overall coordination of all communications and marketing work between BMC, in-house designers, vendors and editorial groups.


- Liaise with other members of the GDS BMC team, as well as Business Enablement BMC colleagues to share best practice and ideas.

Experience :


- 10 -15 years of experience including internal/external communications and marketing.


- Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, journalism, communications or public relations.


- Experience managing and developing direct reports and junior staff; and working in a virtual team.


- Knowledge of and skills in delivering contemporary marketing (including digital) and communication initiatives and measurement tactics.


- Previous experience supporting major programs for large and matrix organizations.


- Proven ability to develop and lead the implementation of communications plans.


- Strong event management experience, developing and launching global programs.


- Experience working with tech development or major product launches.


- Has worked in a fast, paced innovative environment.


- Working knowledge of the professional services sector would be an advantage.
