Exponentia Data Labs (www.exponentiadata.com) is part of Systems-Plus Group (www.systems-plus.com) an organization with 750+ employees and having offices in India, UK and Singapore Job Summary: Senior Consultant plays a key role in working with highly scalable, performance efficient, low latency big data platforms, also gets involved in designing solution/API to make use of structured or unstructured data stored in data warehouse. Job Responsibilities: - Design, Implement big data platform using Apache spark, Sentry, Hive, Impala, Hbase etc on Cloudera. - Develop data engineering pipelines to as per requirements using Cloudera components. - Help in performance tuning of the platform, queries etc. - Work closely with business analysts to understand, synthesize requirements. - Re-engineer existing solutions to improve performance, add functionalities etc. - Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders, participate in engineering activities to ensure consistently high levels of quality and productivity, and provide timely and accurate estimates for deliverables - Stay up-to-date on new technologies developing around big data ecosystem and suggest use cases which can be implemented. - Lead junior developers in task allocation, mentoring etc. Technical Skills - Has more than 5 Years of experience in Cloudera Platform in developing highly scalable, performance efficient data pipelines - Proven skill sets in Apache Spark, Sqoop, Hive, Pig, Hadoop, Python OR Java, Understanding of PL-SQL. - Good understanding of Cloudera administration and environment configuration. - Performing ETL testing. - Skills in Data warehousing using Big data tools. - Good understanding of data modelling for data architecture. - Understand system architectures, design patterns should be able to design and develop applications using these principles.
