Experian - Consultant - Pre-sales Analytics (4-6 yrs)

Purpose of Role

Understand business problems and provide analytical solutions to business problems. Providing comprehensive support to the sales team to market analytical solutions spanning onboarding, customer management, fraud prevention and debt management. Use analysis and customer insights to develop value propositions for customers. Once sales team has sought an opportunity, this position is responsible for engaging and devising a solution to take the discussion to next level.

Candidate Profile

Successful candidates will have knowledge of statistical modelling/data analysis tools (SAS, python, R.), techniques and market trends. 

They will be an extremely adept professional communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills to work with senior stake holders in India to grow revenue primarily through identifying and selling new, profitable analytics solutions. 

We are looking for someone who; 

- Proven track record in supporting analytics pre-sales 

- Able to develop strong relationships

- Identify appropriate analytics solutions 

- Become a trusted advisor for analytics 

- Experienced in Analytics delivery 

- Experience in selling analytics solutions (essential) Essential Duties 


- Work closely with local and regional analytics teams

- Support Account Directors/BDMs by providing analytics solution based presentations and solution expertise in developing prospects

- Deliver sized, cost measured proposals taking into consideration client, market, risk factors and client requirements

- Present and demonstrate to the client how Experian solutions can solve business issues

- Engage Business/Technical Consultants and delivery teams appropriately so that there is a shared understanding and agreement as to how the proposed solution will be delivered and executed

- Produce RFPs, proposals, costings and bid reviews

- Use analysis and customer insights to develop value propositions for customers

- Add value to clients business through demonstration of analytics solution benefits and design recommendations to meet customer needs

- Provide insight to analytics solution design impacts to the delivery team, make recommendations for ease of delivery and support

- Lead scoping, requirements definition and solution review process with clients through to creation of SOW and contract sign-off

- Understand and apply delivery constraints in the design process including commercial and time constraints

- Document agreed scope, business requirements and solutions that become the basis for the SOW and as input to the project delivery phase

- Engage consulting team and analytics delivery teams appropriately in support of this 

- Maintain and enhance the suite of suitable analytics products for India

- Liaise with regional and global product/analytics teams on new solutions and improvements that are required or would be of interest to India

- Work with the analytics delivery team to ensure there is alignment between sales readiness and delivery readiness

- Provide orderly transition from the sales phase to delivery phase

- Assist with interpretation of solution design and make corrective decisions where needed

- Understand the delivery lifecycle, including pain points, task management, key priorities and known issues for solutions

- Shadow delivery team to ensure superior quality delivery satisfying client requirements articulated in SOW

- Actively seek to share knowledge within the team

- Challenge existing processes and provide alternative suggestions

- Share findings with peers from other teams and management where required

- Provide input into the current delivery model and suggest enhancements

- Mentor consultants on specific analytics expertise and experience on past projects/presales opportunities through training sessions, webinars (local, regional, global) and update knowledge repositories

- Actively contribute to setting best practice processes

- Operate as a brand ambassador for Experian and actively protect its reputation for excellence in all areas

- Understand and participate in performance management processes.

- Actively contribute to a culture where the fair treatment of customers is at the heart of the Experian business

- Take personal responsibility to ensure that you adhere to all regulatory requirements and apply appropriate controls in the interests of our customers.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications

- Knowledge of statistical modelling/data analysis tools (SAS, SPSS, R etc.), techniques and market trends

- Comprehensive understanding of decisioning and portfolio management in banking and financial services Experience

- Extensive experience with a local or international vendor environment is highly desirable

- Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas and analysis results effectively both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences

- Strong negotiating and influencing skills

- Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills Strong interpersonal skills

- Motivated to meet and exceed stretch targets

- Ability to make the right judgments in the face of complexity and uncertainty

- Excellent relationship and networking skills across our different business and geographies
