As Regional Sales Manager, the incumbent: - Directs and controls the entire regional activities towards achieving agreed sales volumes/ targets for a geographical area which will help the company to achieve its strategic and business objectives - Oversees smooth functioning of the entire regional activities. - Ensures achievement of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Sales Target through existing and new dealer and distribution channel members, supervision of all related activities which contribute positively to overall performance of the division. - Ensures adherence to sales policies and implements the policies provided by Corporate Marketing team. - Drive for excellent customer service - Developing sales force with contemporary selling and marketing skills KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : - To look after overall business in the assigned region - Direct, organise, monitor and control Sales Executives, Sales Trainees to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained to meet sales targets and that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standards. - Monitor and control the budget for the Region to ensure that all financial targets are met and are in place to comply with company and regulatory requirements. - Maintain accurate records of all sales activity and prepare regular forecasts and strategies to enable effective forward planning - Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and other relevant bodies to ensure that the company's maximum sales potential is realized in the area. - To be responsible for demand generation activities, promotional campaigns, channel partner meets thereby improving market share through penetration activity, cultivation of new channel partners and network expansion, as well as management and support of existing channels/ network - Primary and Secondary Network. - Maintain awareness of brand building and company products and of relevant sales techniques and strategies to ensure that the role is carried out as effectively as possible. - Monitor the sales performance of competitors to ensure that the company maintains and develops its competitive position - Provide the main source of expertise to the company on business development issues - To provide after sales service support in coordination with Service Team for improving customer satisfaction - Key Internal Interfaces Key External Interfaces - Service Department - Channel Partners - Plants: For all material requirements &amp; Logistics - End Users/ Customers - Supply Chain Department - C&amp;F Agents - Accounts Department - Warehouses - IT Department - Personnel &amp; Admin Department - Fleet owners DESIRED PROFILE : Graduate in any discipline (Engineering preferred) MBA/ PGDM (Marketing) DESIRED SKILLS : Functional : Behavioral : - Thorough knowledge of Company products Research &amp; Analysis skills (awareness of developments in product marketing and research) Dealer Managament &amp; Competitor Analysis - Sales &amp; Marketing Strategy - Sales &amp; Interpersonal Skills - people and process management skills Good time management, planning and organizing skills
