Exide - Manager - Data Engineering & Business Intelligence (5-10 yrs)

Job responsibilities:

- Play a critical role in database design and development, data integration and ingestion, as well as designing ETL architectures using a variety of ETL tools and techniques

- Implement the best possible solutions for stakeholders in close collaboration with a highly skilled Data Science team

- Partner with stakeholders to model their data landscape, obtain data extracts and define secure data exchange approaches

- Plan and execute secure, good practice data integration strategies and approaches

- Lead workstreams in acquiring, ingesting, and processing data from multiple sources and systems into Big Data platforms.

- Help create and manage data environments in the Cloud and collaborate with our data scientists to map data fields to hypotheses and curate, wrangle, and prepare data for use in their advanced analytical models

Qualifications needed:

- 5+ years of working experience

- Experience and interest in Big Data technologies (Hadoop / Spark / NoSQL DBs)

- Experience working on projects within the cloud ideally Azure or AWS

- Data security & governance expertise

- Strong development background with experience in SQL along with other scripting, object-oriented or functional programming language, etc. Python, Java, Scala, C#, R

- End-to-End Data Warehousing experience preferably on SAP BW HANA/Azure Synapse or AWS Redshift, building operational ETL data pipelines across several sources and constructing relational and dimensional data models

- Experience in at least one ETL tool (e.g., Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, DataStage)

- Ability to work across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, extracting information and identifying linkages across disparate data sets

- Experience in at least one BI tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SAP BO, etc. )

- Experience with working on SAP S/4 as data source and understanding FMCG/CPG business processes will be preferred

- Excellent interpersonal skills when interacting in a clear, timely, and professional manner

- Proven ability in clearly communicating complex solutions

- Excel in team collaboration and working with others from diverse skill-sets and backgrounds
