Location : Bangalore, India Role and Responsibilities : - Full-time and Permanent The Analyst will be actively involved in supporting the firm's Partners and Principals in key areas of venture capital investing and portfolio management. Key responsibilities will include : - Market Analysis : Perform market research and competitive analysis to identify potential investment candidates. Assess market potential, business models, competitive dynamics, customer traction and management teams to help narrow prospect funnels in key investing areas - Investment Analysis : Develop detailed financial and operating models for candidate companies. Create scenario and returns analyses to support investment decision making - Deal Diligence and Documentation : Support deal diligence, including coordination with legal and financial counsels, reference calls, interviewing users or potential customers, and testing products and services; Draft investment cases and business plans to support the investment process - Portfolio Management : Supporting the investment team on post-investment portfolio management Work Experience, Skills and Characteristics. We are looking for an engineering / MBA degree holder with 1-2 years of experience in a highly professional work environment at a well-respected top-tier consulting firm, investment bank, or a leading technology company in a product management or business development role. - Understanding of finance and accounting is a plus. Specific skills and characteristics : Analytical capacity : Insightful strategic thinker with a strong analytical and financial background OR highly numerate with product management/business development skills. Experienced in assessing markets and companies. Ability to dissect financial information to value companies and assess an attractive investment opportunity. Good English writing skills. Character traits : Performance driven, outgoing, team player, well organized, high bandwidth, self-initiative. Ability to build trust. High integrity.
