Executive - Product Innovation - Consulting Firm (2-3 yrs)
Executive - Product Innovation
Purpose of the Role:
To further the equity of the Foundation by driving impact through the Scale-Up Program and other initiatives.
Qualification & Experience :
- Master's Degree in finance, engineering, management, or any other equivalent degree
- 3 years in a program management or other such roles with client facing focus (management consulting / business strategy / entrepreneurship / venture capital roles preferred)
Key Deliverables of the Role:
Scale-Up Program :
- Key stakeholders: Entrepreneurs, Internal Senior Members, External Senior Industry
- Professionals and other ecosystem players in the start-up and innovation ecosystem.
- Manage the overall efficiency, impact and subsequent equity of the Foundation scale-up program in the start-up and innovation sector.
- Scout, evaluate and on-board high-potential innovative organisations onto the Scale-Up Program
- Closely manage onboarded cohort of innovations and mentor engagements to deliver quantifiable impact for organisations in line with the annual goals for the Foundation.
- Continually engage in business reviews of the cohort organisations to identify new challenge areas as well as validate / recommend new ideas and improvement plans to enable the organisation's growth
- Build and maintain relevant partnerships within the start-up and innovation ecosystem (Eg: Venture Capital Firms, Incubators, Govt. bodies, Accelerators) as well as industry leaders with an aim to improve sourcing, access, and strategic mentorship for cohort
- Seek to create new processes / initiatives under the Scale-Up Program to improve overall efficiency and performance of the program and the Scale-up team
Finance :
Key stakeholders: Finance Team and Finance Lead
- Work with the finance lead to execute finance processes such as vendor payments, monthly provisions, forecasting, annual budget, etc.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Interested in, engaged with and understanding of the start-up and innovation ecosystem in India
- Ability to identify opportunities for start-ups' growth; understanding of financial and business and operational metrics of early-stage start-ups
- Collaborative mindset and open to new ideas
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with the use of MS Office
- Ability to function diligently with minimal supervision
- Ability to engage with senior leadership / stakeholders meaningfully and judiciously
- Ability to work with multiple teams within Marico and externally
- Structured verbal and written communication skills
Reporting Relationships:
- Reports to Scale-Up Lead at the Foundation
