Job Description and Purpose:

The purpose of the position is to provide entrepreneurial leadership to the organization such that it meets both its business goals and has an impact on the larger social sector. The ED will be the custodian of the mission, philosophy, values and culture of the organization. The ED's position will be responsible for creating a team of technical experts and seasoned professionals to research and resolve complex issues around training.

- To produce qualified and self-driven non-profit fundraisers in a sustained manner.

- Discover new trends and ways of donor management to improve life time value of donations.

- Provide strategic and technical non- profit fundraising solutions for the developmental sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Academic quality and sanctity: Responsible for the overall quality of the education and training students receive. This includes ensuring that the curriculum is appropriate for the level of student/ trainee in each classroom; that lesson plans are followed by trainers/ faculty, and that adequate supplies and resources are available to trainees and trainers. To measure academic quality by observing trainers in the classrooms and in the field, by monitoring student performance using standardized tests and other assessment tools.

- Fundraising technical function: Lead the research and development of curriculum; commission and lead various fundraising research and development work. Lead donor engagement strategies.

- Training: Responsible for strategizing, planning and implementing all training requirements of non-profit fundraising students, non-profit clients plus any other training needs of the organization. Develop training and development plans based on agreed desired outcomes with non-profit clients. Develop performance measurement mechanisms for all fundraising staff. Measure performance data to determine training and development requirements of all students and fundraising staff. Develop appropriate online and offline curriculum for all types of training requirements identified as a potential business.

- Business Operations: To create and execute business plans, establish annual budgets and oversee expenditures. To create necessary collaboration and partnerships internally and also with the larger ecosystem. Continually review and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and best practice standards. Providing monthly/ quarterly reports to the board of trustees and, work with the Advisory Board.

- Public Relations: Represent the organization at community events and act as the chief public relations spokesperson. The position requires the cultivation of positive and collaborative relationships with non-profits, academicians and sector leaders. To maintain close relationships with the ecosystem to extend the organizations positive learning environment outside. To mediate conflicts or academic differences among trainers, students and non-profits.

- People Management: Responsible for managing all staff and also recruit when there are open positions. The position requires to establish performance goals for organization personnel, evaluate their performance and coach them to help each employee perform at their best.

- Accountability: Ensure all statutory and organizational adherence to reporting, policies, and standard procedures. Develop highest accountability and transparency standards that are driven by a voluntary desire to be accountable to all stakeholders. Develop key performance indicators for all fundraising functions and positions that will be central to performance management plans and internal reporting requirements. Set quality and integrity standards and ensure full compliance to the same.

Skills and Competencies:

- A seasoned leader with high energy and a vision, who demonstrates a strong and sustained commitment to the social sector.

- Minimum two decades of non-profit fundraising practitioner with around 15 years of experience as a fundraising leader with international non-profits.

- Highly developed subjective knowledge of various types of non-profit fundraising and the developmental sector.

- Advanced aptitude in fundraising data interpretation and analysis.

- Advanced knowledge of fundraising management systems (CRM).

- Highly developed skills and exposure to multifarious retail fundraising methods- offline and online.

- Highly organized with the ability to work around deadlines.

- Astuteness to optimally and effectively function in a diverse and complex environment.
