PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This role requires strong strategic skills, as it will lead to thinking on the overall marketing strategy by recommending and evaluating various business verticals and business models. A key part of this role is to also ensure the use of creative excellence and disciplined leadership in crafting new opportunities from multiple start points. The ability to navigate through key stakeholders within the organization will be necessary for success and traction. As a key business stakeholder, the candidate will be the repository of learning for future opportunities, on which the business will lean on for development of business strategies.

The position is tasked with responsibilities of working closely with senior management on group level marketing strategy from time to time and playing a vital role in annual operating plan of the company. Using excellent analytics skills the incumbent will have to periodically review and evaluate group level performance and recommend necessary interventions. The role demands driving efficiency improvements in existing marketing processes and policies and partnering with the other departments acting as a conduit to implement the new processes and assignments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Devise and implement new strategies around various brands and verticals like pricing, budgeting and annual operating plan.

- Evaluate group level and brand level key profitability metric like NPV, PBT and assist senior management on actionables.

- Create, analyse and follow up on reports for senior management in a timely manner using existing tools or developing new ones.

- Continuously offer insight and advice on improving the exiting processes and performance of various functions within marketing including events, digital, loyalty, presales.

- Understand flow of data into and out of our systems and organizational customers and stakeholders. Communicate data and process requirements as appropriate to all.

- Develop and maintain open communication with key departments like Finance, Procurement, MIS, Audit, Corporate and PR.

- Attend and represent the specific groups to maintain department knowledge and professional awareness of developments surrounding the key activities of the company

- Manage and develop effective and efficient processes and procedures for capturing and maintenance of data ensuring that information is robust and meets the output.

- Evaluation of Media Effectiveness and Conversions.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- Candidates from top B-schools (IIMs, FMS, XLRI, IIFT, JBIMS, NMIMS)

- Minimum 2 years of experience and currently working with best FMCG, consulting, consumer durables, automobiles, or other consumer facing businesses. Candidates should have had hands-on experience in marketing, sales or consulting functions.
