Executive Assistant To Group Executive Office - Steel Industry (7-12 yrs)

Job Description : 

Provide information, insights and process support to the Businesses and Group Executive Office

Information Support : 

- Synthesize insights from MIS and discussions with MD/CEOs, communicate to Chairman and GMD

- Conduct a scan of the environment to keep abreast of latest happenings in sector

- Engage on specific projects/asks of Chairman/GMD pertaining to allocated businesses

Process Support : 

- Coordinate routine reviews - prioritize agenda, ensure pre-read arrives on time, synthesize pre-reads, attend reviews, document minutes and follow-up on actions

- Perform ad-hoc analyses for GEO (e.g., profiling an entity, analyzing share market)

Partner Support : 

- Pre-syndicate with business prior to upcoming review (e.g., assist in preparation, share Chairman/GMD concerns)

- Review meeting decisions template and pre-read material

- Participate in meetings of cross-functional teams formed to solve specific business issues

Career Path : 

During EA tenure

Spend 3 years as an executive assistant

- Year 1: Master Chairman/GMD's working style, form key relationships, learn more about focus sectors

- Year 2: Provide significant support to Chairman/GMD; also add value to business partners

- Year 3: Hand-off in the last six months to the next EA

Potential options post EA tenure

Fast track career in different parts of the organization; potential options include

- Business positions in line or Corporate Functions

- Business development roles in Bus

- Taking charge of special cross-functional initiatives

Pre requisites

BE, MBA from Premiere B School, 7-10 years of experience in similar role

Skills : 

- Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with senior colleagues

- Strong analytical skills
