Job Description:

Organization: Import Express India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of SYW Pte. Ltd.

Reporting to: Executive Director

Job Location: Lower Parel (E), Mumbai

Key Responsibilities/Accountability & Job Functions:

Assistant Vice President - Business Development would be responsible to lead our Business Development Strategy and other strategic projects globally (focusing on US, UAE, China and South-East Asia) with the aim to improve revenues and profitability. The key result areas are as follows (indicative and not exhaustive):

- Responsible for market research, analysis and development of strategic insights based on environment/ country knowledge, primarily to identify suitable vendors (also referred to as Partner Merchants (PMs)) to onboard

- PM acquisition and onboarding via cold calling and face-to-face meetings through BD Managers in respective countries,

- Vendor retention and development of PM business and through them, ensuring our business growth as well,

- PM and product analytics and report development for management consumption including Lead Generation and conversion reports, PM product sales report, board presentation for own department, etc.,

- Role holder will also be the key point of contact for current and upcoming Channel Partners (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.) and point of contact for new strategic projects,

- Analyze various business initiatives across all aspects of the online business to determine success or opportunities for change, then develop and implement action plans based on those analyses/recommendations,

- Drive development in the strategic business planning, budgeting and sales strategy approach,

- Monitoring the weekly, daily, and seasonal and/or one-time reports. Assist the PMs in report analysis,

- Closely work with multiple teams in-house such as Finance, Logistics, Marketplace Operations, Procurement and Technology to deliver business results

The role holder will be responsible for driving growth and revenue from PMs across product lines. In addition to organic growth, this position will develop relationships with channel partners (Amazon and Flipkart) to meet PM product sales targets as required and for crisis management. As a subject matter expert (SME), the role holder will guide team members in India, US, UAE and China on the potential direction of growth markets.

Requirements:

- 6-15 years of experience in business development or corporate sales (preferably in E-commerce)

- Understanding of supply chain

- Advanced knowledge of MS-Office and MS Dynamics

- Strong relationship management and interpersonal/ communication skills

- Expertise in analytics and number crunching

- Should be meticulous and focused on details

- Motivated, self-starter, ready to work in startup environment, understands the risks and opportunities of startups

- Experience of managing global teams will be a plus

Qualification:

- Graduation is a must.

- MBA or Postgraduate degree would be a plus.
