Job Overview

Part of a 18 member team which provides insightful analysis on multiple Global Sourcing domains (e.g., Global Location Optimization) through published & custom research. Role includes solving client problems through insightful custom research, authoring reports and white papers and developing domain expertise in global sourcing. The role includes global interactions with buyers, suppliers, subject matter experts and other market participants (e.g., investment agencies). The candidate must be able to analyse, communicate, work with senior executives, develop complex and compelling analytical scenarios, and work with clients solving strategic global sourcing issues.

Responsibility

- Work closely with external market participants and other parts of the research organization to collect and analyze relevant information

- Work as an integral team member on custom and published research, with independent responsibility on modules. Key activities

a) Problem structuring and analysis

b) Secondary Research (eg. Company websites, news, industry portals)

c) Primary research (interviews with various market participants)

d) Report writing (across custom and published reports)

- Support internal business development efforts - Proposals, marketing campaigns

- Ensure quality of products and adherence to Everest Group standards

- Proactively develop new content and depth of insight in identified work-streams

Skills and Activities:

- Strong problem solving skills and analytical capability

- Strong oral and written communication skills, including attention to detail

- Project management skills: ability to multi-task, work under pressure and successfully manage deadlines

- Self-motivated and able to prioritize and work independently

- Ability to interact and effectively work with others in a team environment

- Comfort with ambiguity of an entrepreneurial environment

- Strong organization skills and leadership skills

- Intellectual curiosity

- Comfort with Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook)

- Solid business judgment, professional in appearance

Education and Experience:

We are seeking a high calibre individual to maintain our exceptional standards. This person should have:

- Degree in Engineering - BE/B. Tech from reputed institutes (e.g. IITs, NITs)

- 1- 3 years work experience in a professional services environment (Management Consulting/ Business Research)

- Interest in global services sector (eg.outsourcing/offshoring space) and sourcing trends

- History of excellence in academics, personal and vocational achievements
