Evalueserve - Senior Research Lead - Sell Side

Job description-

- Support Equity Research Analyst of a global investment bank in carrying out research on a portfolio of companies

- Build detailed financial models (historical and forecasts) including valuation using approaches such as DCF, DDM, Trading and transaction multiples, etc.

- Write initiation reports, earning notes, quarterly updates, coverage reports, sector reports, newsletters, event updates, theme-based reports, etc.

- Providing ongoing coverage on securities on which research has been initiated once

- Track news, events, and results of the companies under coverage

- Track and monitor regulatory trends impacting the industry

- Build and maintain databases tracking key macroeconomic indicators/industry KPIs

- Listen to and summarize investment conference calls

- Assist the Lead Analyst in preparation of company profiles, newsletters, flash notes, earning notes, initiating coverage reports, etc.

- Develop roadshow presentations

- Handle ad-hoc research requests as per client requirements

For each security, the analyst will be expected to conduct a detailed analysis covering all relevant aspects which may affect a security. The role involves a high level of interaction with senior stakeholders on an ongoing basis wherein the selected candidate will be required to present their work to the client and discuss day to day work.

Skill Set Required

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong understanding of accounting concepts and valuation methodologies

- Expertise in building financial models with forecasting

- Good financial writing skills (beyond factual reporting, such as company description)

- Proven ability to build client rapport and work in sync with onshore teams

- Ability to work independently

- Ability to identify and solve issues effectively on time, eye for details

- Proactiveness and thought leadership

- Knowledge of database tools, including Bloomberg, Reuters, and other financial data systems

- Knowledge of VBA, Excel Macros will be an added advantage

Education and experience

MBA (Finance) /CA; CFA (US) would be an added advantage

Experience: 8+ years with minimum 6 years of sell side equity research experience
