Position at a glance :

This position is within the existing Customer Insights & Data Analytics team at Evalueserve Chile, supporting a leading U.S. retail bank's Consumer Credit Solutions Database Marketing, Analytics and Reporting team. The bank offers customers a variety of lending options through various channels, and the marketing analytics team provides analytics services to support decisions and strategies in these areas.

- This position will support the Database Marketing team's modeling functions. The role requires development, tracking & monitoring of various marketing models. Projects involve creating code to track and evaluate models, preparing regular reports on model performance and contributing to the development of models themselves.

Key responsibilities may include :

- Develop models that optimize a variety of unsecured credit products at the customer & portfolio level

- Continually evaluate and improve modeling & model deployment processes that will increase performance and/or efficiencies

- Execute a robust & repeatable model development process that incorporates approvals (risk, legal, compliance, and fair lending) and creates an auditable trail

- Perform data extraction, data manipulation and data management to monitor and evaluate existing models, creating codes to calculate model performance

- Publishing monthly model tracking reports around key portfolio metrics

- Documenting model development.

Required qualifications :

- Graduates (preferably Master's Degree) in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Math, Finance, Physics, Computer Science, and Engineering or other degree with a significant amount of statistical application required

- 5+ years of relevant experience in financial institution background in statistical analytics, ideally within credit risk/marketing or an equivalent experience such as use of predictive models in capital markets, or other non-financial consumer marketing.

- Must have hands-on model development experience using step-wise logistic regression.

- Significant amount of statistical application such as customer segmentation & statistical model building & monitoring. Should have experience in variable treatment (missing values/outlier) and variable screening using industry practice (clustering, IV, multicollinearity checks, variable significance), variable binning.

- Advanced programming skills in SAS and SQL and/or other analytical programming languages

- Experience in manipulating large databases i.e. 10+MM portfolio including transaction level data manipulation

- Ability to translate business objectives into actionable work flows in terms of data manipulation, variable selection, segmentation and optimization

- Ability to create clear and succinct documentations on modeling methodologies and results for audit trails

- Clear written/verbal communication and presentation skills to communicate to diverse groups of leaders including legal, compliance, risk and fair lending

- Ability to identify and solve issues effectively on time and ensure that tasks within areas of responsibility are completed in a timely manner

- Ability to practice attentive and active listening skills

- Good interpersonal skills.
