Python Developer ( Index Quants )

The person will be required to:

- Support the client teams (Structuring/ Trading/Index Operations) in implementing, back- testing complex strategies in Python

- Maintaining existing strategies from Equity, FX, Commodities, Interest Rates, F&O

- Developing and maintaining tools/models in Python

- Running sanity checks and reporting regarding daily maintenance of these indices

- Responsible for periodic rolls and rebalancing and carrying out other lifecycle events

- Manage sub projects, and timelines within the main project

- Responding to ad-hoc client requests

- Designing and implementing new checks and controls as per the changing client requirements

- Provide ideas on various aspects like financial and quantitative concepts, implementation of controls and framework designs

- Manage workflow

Skill Set :

- Proficiency in Python

- 1-4 Years of experience in Financial Services industry preferably in Index development & maintenance or Quantitative Investment Strategies

- Very strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills

- Python and databases hands on is required

- Deep understanding and knowledge of financial instruments is a must

- Keen interest in quantitative finance, understanding of global economy and fundamental factors affecting valuation of various asset classes is desirable

- Familiarity with market data providers like Bloomberg and Reuters is required

- Managing/Collaborating with team members sitting in different locations

- Should be comfortable in interacting with international clients

- Ability to identify and solve issues effectively on time, eye for details

Education:

- MBA/CFA, FRM charter holder or progress towards/Masters in Statistics, Math's or Economics/M.Tech./B.Tech with experience in a similar function
