Patent Search (Domain - CPG/FMCG mandate) - GM (Leadership role)
Desired Candidate Profile:
Skill Set: Patent Search in Food & CPG
Looking for: Patent Search, Prior art search, FTO, Freedom to operate, Patentability
Domain: Life sciences, Food Technology, Biotechnology, CPG
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Review OR prepare strategies to perform infringement analysis, including product search and preparation of Evidence of Usage (EoU) charts
- Lead interactions with clients and propose solutions to their business needs
- Prepare convincing client proposals and thought starters related to market intelligence and technology scan
- Strategize to increase revenue and business from new clients, across US, Europe and Asia - If required, attend and lead in-person client meetings at clients office
- Strategize to make process improvements to ensure high quality in all deliverables
- Good interpersonal skills and communication (both written and verbal) skills
- Ability to ensure that tasks within areas of responsibility are completed accurately in a timely manner
- Ability to practice attentive and active listening skills
- Act as an efficient team player with good reasoning.
- Ability to identify pro-active ways to contribute to firms goals & mission
- Challenging current thinking by implementing new ways of working
- Exposure in coordination with various departments
- Ability to work independently and prioritize assignments to meet the project schedule.
People management:
- Team management: Handling team of 20+ professionals (Research Associates, Senior Research Associates, Assistant Managers, Managers) working for dedicated/ various clients.
- Maintaining productivity and utilization for the team
Career management: Responsible for mentoring and coaching of team members. You will also be responsible for their career management and performance evaluation.
Client Management: Client engagement and mining: Management of project from initial client contact stage to project completion.
- Handle key client accounts independently.
- Responsible for overall quality and delivery of project reports.
Sales Support: Help global sales executives in sales support initiatives including creating / updating sales deck for client meetings.
- Willingness to travel onshore for client meetings, workshops, or sales activities.
Education and Experience Bachelors or Masters ( M.S. / M.Tech.) in food tech, Biotechnology, Pharma with 10+ years of work experience in the field of Intellectual Property.
