Job description - Equity Research Associate/ Senior Associate/ Lead

- Support Equity Research Analyst of a global investment bank in carrying out research on a portfolio of companies

- Track news, events, and results of the companies under coverage

- Track and monitor regulatory trends impacting the industry

- Build and maintain databases tracking key macroeconomic indicators/industry KPIs

- Work on Financial Models update historical numbers, build projections, and carry out valuation

- Listen to and summarize investment conference calls

- Assist the Lead Analyst in preparation of company profiles, newsletters, flash notes, earning notes, initiating coverage reports, etc.

- Develop roadshow presentations

- Handle ad-hoc research requests as per client requirements

Skill Set Required:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong understanding of accounting concepts and ability to conduct financial analysis

- Understanding of valuation methodologies

- Good financial writing skills (beyond factual reporting, such as company description)

- Well versed in building financial models with forecasting

- Ability to build client relations

- Ability to work independently Knowledge of database tools, including Bloomberg, Reuters, and other financial data systems

- Knowledge of VBA, Excel Macros will be an added advantage

Education and experience:

- MBA / PGDM (Finance) / CA; CFA (US) would be an added advantage

- 1-8 Years of sell side ER experience
