Equity Research Professionals

Key responsibilities :

- Creating and maintaining excel based financial models with forecasts and benchmarking companies on financial and operating metrics

- Extensive company valuation involving approaches such as DCF, DDM, Trading and transaction multiples, etc.

- Listening to and summarizing earnings conference calls on a quarterly basis

- Attending industry/sector conference calls and provide summary to the client

- Conducting detailed industry research and preparing sector presentations

- Conducting research on individual companies and preparing company profiles

- Providing qualitative analysis of company's annual reports

- Creating and maintaining dashboards for sector KPIs or macro-economic data

- Proactively tracking markets and investments to recommend alternative investment and switching ideas to the team.

- Handling ad-hoc research requests per client requirements

- Collecting financial data using on-line and other data sources such as Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters

Skill Set Required :

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong understanding of accounting concepts and ability to conduct financial analysis

- Well versed in building financial models with forecasting

- Understanding of valuation methodologies

- Good financial writing skills

- Good MS Office skills especially excel

- Knowledge of database tools, including Bloomberg, Reuters, and other financial data systems

Education and experience :

- MBA (Finance) /CA; CFA (US) would be an added advantage

- Experience: 3-6 years buy side equity research experience
