Job Description

We are looking for a candidate to work with a team that supports a reputed investment bank client.

Responsibilities of the role include:

Working as a research assistant with a team that supports the banks economics team, which provides macro research for use by end clients and internal Equity and Fixed Income sales team; the research findings are also used to advise and direct clients in managing their various portfolios. Assisting the team in global forecasts on economic activities, interest rates, and policy developments. Providing technical support on the teams quantitative projects. Helping the team update some of its regular research products

Skill Set Required

Working experience as an economist, including conducting or at least contributing to applied macroeconomic research projects (preferable). Strong background in macro and international economics Excellent statistical understanding. Practical experience in time-series analysis. Strong writing capability. Strong communication skills

Knowledge of SPSS, MATLAB, EViews, and R

Education and experience

Post-graduate degree in Economics & Statistics / Econometrics or MBA in Finance with a strong interest in Economics / CAs with Economics background or work experience
